Wedding specialist
A Four Seasons on-site catering expert will work with you or your wedding consultant to reserve your dates, plan the schedule of events and coordinate all food and beverage details for your celebration, from menu design to linens, as well as assist with other aspects of your wedding experience at the Hotel.
Public area available for pictures
The grand staircase, rooftop garden and waterfall area are available for photography for weddings held at the Hotel.
Licence for ceremony
To get married in British Columbia:
You must apply for a BC marriage licence; to apply, you need not be a BC resident.
To qualify, you must be over 19 years of age; anyone under 19 must first obtain the consent of both parents. If one or both parties have been divorced within the last 31 days, proof of divorce must be provided.
There is no blood test and no waiting period.
Only one member of the couple needs to apply for the licence. He or she must bring the following identification for both parties: full name, including given names; birth date and place; marital status; current address.
The licence is issued at the time of application, is non-refundable, is valid for three months and may not be extended. The wedding can take place any time during the three-month term of the licence.
Arranging the marriage ceremony:
In BC, couples can choose a religious or a civil ceremony, which must be witnessed by two people.
To perform the religious ceremony, you can choose a religious representative who must be registered with the Vital Statistics Agency, under the Marriage Act.
If you are planning a civil ceremony, contact and book a marriage commissioner as soon as possible once you set your wedding date.
Provide the commissioner with the following: date and time of your wedding ceremony; location and address; payment of fees to the commissioner.
At your request, we will be happy to provide you with a selection of individuals to perform the ceremony.
Flowers
Our on-site catering expert can recommend a florist to create heavenly arrangements for your special day. We can also create special themes and matching décor for your event.
Cakes
Our talented in-house Pastry Chef can create a beautiful customised wedding cake in the flavour of your preference. If you have a photograph of a special cake, we will be happy to prepare that cake for you.
Menu creations
Four Seasons prides itself on culinary creativity, and offers an extensive array of menus to choose from, including kosher menus. Alternatively, we can completely custom-design a menu for you, along with your choice of beverages. Whatever the wedding event, from an intimate family brunch to a sophisticated cocktail buffet to a grand reception banquet, our team will assist you or your bridal consultant from planning to execution.
Linens and tabletop décor
Four Seasons offers a basic level of superior linens, cutlery, china and glassware for all banquet tables. Special colours, patterns or designs may be obtained for a nominal rental fee.
Off-site catering
We can bring the food, service and ambience of Four Seasons to any location you select. We excel in pleasing individual tastes with customised menus – prepared at the location site, if possible. Elegant table settings are provided, with every element thoughtfully chosen. Rely on the impeccable, unobtrusive service for which Four Seasons is renowned.
Kosher cuisine
Four Seasons Vancouver is the only hotel in Vancouver that offers a dedicated kosher kitchen, making us a particularly welcoming venue for the Jewish community. To oversee the preparation of all food, a specially qualified supervisor of kosher laws is on hand for each event.
