Check in here is always painless. The staff here is far above average. The
cleaning staff here are always pleasant. The staff in any business reflects
management. The lobby is spotless. The hallways again are well maintained. The
rooms also are well maintained. Lots of parking available. Denny's restaurant is
attached which is handy. This Sandman has very easy access to the highway. I
stay here about 25 nights per year for the past 10 plus years. Well done to all
the staff at the Sandman in Langley

This hotel is in dire need of an update. The rooms are dated. The bed spreads
are tired. The gym is barren.

I booked a king size bed, no smoking, no pet room through internet. We were
placed on a floor that was filled with cigarette smoke. It was intolerable. The
room was supposedly non smoking although there was no symbol on the door to
indicate such. We could smell stale smoke in the room. Upon complaint, the clerk
was accommodating, quickly changing our room to another floor. From there it was
completely satisfactory. Clean and fresh. Comes with the standard bedspread.
Triple sheeting is the only way to go!

We generally stay at Sandman's if and when we can, and we are generally
impressed. This Sandman, however, could use a freshening and is lacking in some
expected amenities.
Upon check in (which was very early but we were able to get our room, which was
a plus), we found our room to not be as clean as expected (fresh urine on the
underside of the toilet seat, hair on the floor of the bathroom, etc.).
The room was cramped, without a closet, the a/c unit was deep in the corner and
blocked by furniture as to render most of its output moot. The room was also
lacking a mini fridge, which seems to be standard even at a much lower price
point.
The bed was a king, but was extremely worn out/saggy/broken. The carpet was
stained, as were the two chairs in the room.
The exercise room was nothing more than a few cardio machines stuffed into a
small room (which my room card would not grant me access to, I needed someone
from the front desk to let me in). There was also no ice machine on the main
floor, the one on the second floor was broken, and my room key would not give me
access to the second or third floors anyway, so I had to have friends staying on
the third floor get me ice.
On the plus side, the hotel is in a good location with numerous restaurants and
stores nearby. The staff were incredibly friendly and willing to offer advice on
how to get around locally or directions to our next stop, and the common areas
were all very nice and well kept.
The same group is planning on returning to Langley again next year, but my vote
will be to stay in the Sandman Signature located across the highway from this
Sandman property. It is much newer and I imagine will not be suffering from the
same deficiencies.

This is the second time at this hotel and I stay here as I go to the thunderbird
show park. Just mins from the park and offer great rates to everyone visiting
the park. The hotel is clean, and comfortable the entire stay. The staff is
always friendly and very helpful. They go above and beyond to help anyone! Keep
up the great work! :) Will see you again next show season!

Let's just be clear here....every room is a smoking room. Older and a bit ragged
but fine for a maximum 2 night stay if the price is right....like $79 and under |
