Hotel Review of the Sandman Hotel Langley

Had no problems
I was really impressed with the customer service at the front desk. I really had
no problems at all, the AC worked, my room was clean, it didn’t smell of smoke
or anything. If you are staying in this area, I’d recommend this hotel over the
nearby Travelodge.

The sandman in Langley is located near the trans Canada highway though not close
enough for the noise to be an issue, near movie theater and restaurants as well
as having a restaurant and a lounge both in the hotel. The Langley city centre
is 15min away and close to ft Langley and maple ridge. Rooms are decent size and
comfy and good sized bathrooms not cramped at all as some other hotels have.
however rooms do not all have microwaves however they have minifridges.

If you need to stay in the Langley area and will have some free time, I can't
imagine why you'd want to stay anywhere else. This hotel's location is a prime
selling feature.
The property itself is pretty standard to some of the other new Sandman's. It is
not horribly unique by any means, but that doesn't mean it isn't comfortable and
satisfactory. On the contrary - I have great sleeps here. The rooms are typical
- bed, sitting spot, desk, bathroom. There are no lacking amenities in the room,
and even a few additional ones like the fridge that is always in my room.
The hotel is also attached to two restaurants - a 24 hour Dennys and a lounge
called the Shark Club that is a step up from Denny's, but is also still in the
category of Sports Bar. If you are looking for a close bite to eat, their food
is good and presented well. Denny's is the same quality that it is everywhere
else.

The hotel does not have a swimming pool, but it contains a very small exercise
room. The room is really only for cardio use - with a treadmill and two other
machines inside it. I was offered a pass to a local gym located down the road if
I wanted to have a more complete work-out.
Internet is available in the room for free via hard-wire. There is also a
business centre in the lobby that offers a computer with free internet use and,
if memory serves me correctly, a free printer.
The best part of the hotel - it's location. Within a 10 minute walking radius
there are numerous restaurants, fast food, a grocery store, a drug store and a
huge movie theatre complex. I am never bored when I spend the day here. In
addition to all that, you are located just off the coast of British Columbia
where, although it can rain, temperatures rarely dip below freezing so you can
also take advantage of the warmer climate year-round.
All in all, this is your typical Sandman. It is comfortable and well maintained.
It's location, however, is great and you can be sure you will enjoy the variety
of offerings that surround the property.

VANOC is using this hotel as a bus terminal. Buses are pulling in and out at all
hours rattling the building and making sleep impossible to sleep here. GO
SOMEWHERE ELSE, management was made aware of the problem and allows it to
continue. Books somewhere else.

We spent nine nights at the Sandman before/after our daughter's wedding. The
staff could not have been more helpful to us. Our group had several rooms
booked...they managed to get most of us on the same floor. The location was very
convenient and easy to find for out-of-town guests. I would definitely recommend
this hotel to others!
