Lovely Hotel. Just the place to relax and be comfortable. Beautiful rooms,
spacious and well designed. Service from all staff a joy to find. Placed right
on the the harbour although some views of the sea obscured slightly by ships and
private boats moored outside. The useful trolly bus stops right outside to
orientate yourself when you first arrive although alternatively the hotel runs a
complimentary coach service into town. Stanley park a short walk away and good
jogging/cycling flows around the harbour walk. Several Seaplanes to Vancouver
island are also located nearby. Food is of a high standard. A wonderful way to
unwind pre or post Canadian/Alaskan adventure

Recently got back from a stay at the Westin Bayshore in Vancouver, BC. Was quite
impressed with the property; a beautiful hotel, on the water, in a good
location. My room was a little on the small side but the service i received more
than made up for that. The staff were friendly and accomodating, and to my
delight there was a Starbucks right in the hotel. (HUGE bonus for me.)
I am a big fan of the Westin properties, the Heavenly Bed is amazing.

I stayed at the Westin Bayshore while in Vancouver for a conference. The lobby
was well maintained, with a new fruit juice for guests throughout the day. The
staff was helpful and friendly. Guest services, including restaurants, gift
shops, and a Starbucks were convenient, but expensive. My room had a gorgeous
view of the bay and runners and bicyclists heading to Stanley Park.
Heating/cooling was controlled by a convenient thermostat with both C/F scales.
The room was decorated in an average fashion. I enjoyed the comfy beds with down
comforter and the large flat screen television. I was definitely not a fan of
the remodeled bathrooms that included a glass wall that only enclosed half the
shower. It made for a chilly shower and concerns of making a wet mess on the
shower floor. I was also annoyed with the ways they try to nickel and dime you.
There were no vending machines. Bottles of water were $6 in the room and $2.50
in the gift shop. They charged for the business center, which is free in many
hotels. 30 cents a minute for internet, plus an extra charge for printing. It
was an additional $20 a day for internet in your room.
Overall, I would stay there again. The beauty and comfort of the hotel
outweighed the annoyances.

I stayed at the Westin Bayshore for 5 days while attending a conference. Our
room was beautiful and had a great view of the bay. The "heavenly bed" really
was exceptionally comfortable. Food in the hotel was as expected -- over- priced
and boring but there were many many cafes and restaurants within walking
distance so there is no need to feel trapped by hotel restaurants.
Our only problem occured on the last night when they turned our floor over to a
film crew that was setting up a set in one of the large suites. The equipment,
wires, lights and props took up almost all of the elevator lobby and hallway and
created dangerous conditions for guests going to and from their rooms. The next
morning we had trouble getting by all of the actors and production crew and they
were very rude to us, acting as if we shouldn't be in THEIR way. I complained to
the manager who was sympathetic and gave us a little discount off our last
night's room rate. They should never have assigned guests to that floor knowing
that they were going to have a film crew there.

I was at the bayshore for 3 nights and it was a lovely experience. the location
was nice, check in was pleasant, and the recently remodeled room was clean and
comfortable. i found the beds and pillows comfortable and the room pleasantly
quiet. the only complaint (given the new remodel) was the fumes from new carpet/
furniture were a little strong. overall a good experience.

Over the past two years I have stayed at the Westin Bayshore about a dozen
times. The latest were in February and March 2008. My most recent visits were up
to expectations. From the doorman, to the front desk, the hotel cleaning
personal, all do their jobs with a goal to make you happy. If you are not, let
them know and they will try their best to correct the situation. I always chose
a Harbor View room, which I find is a good size. The bathroom is a wee bit on
the small side but it does work. The dual head showers are great. The view from
your window is truly a 10 - 20 million dollar view as the condo's that surround
the hotel, cost that much. Watching the sea planes take off all day long, is
very relaxing.
There is a nice size indoor and outdoor pool plus indoor hot tub that is hot
plus a steam room and sauna's in the ladies and men's locker rooms. The exercise
area is top notch, no token one piece of each type. You can certainly maintain
your workouts here.
I have also eaten at their Sunday brunch which currently is about $45 per
person. The amount and variety should please almost anyone. From custom made
Omelets to Smoked Salmon & Oysters on the half shell, you can certainly eat your
moneys worth.
The location in my opinion is great. You are only 5 - 10 minutes from the
business district or the oodles and oodles of choices for shopping or eating.
At the corner of Denman and Davies (about a 10 minute walk) on the 2nd floor is
a Chinese Restaurant called Won More. If you like Hot & Sour soup, this is a
great place to go. The beef and black pepper dish is also great. There is a
Greek restaurant that would be a good 20 minute walk or 7 minute cab called
Stepho's on Davies that serves good Greek food at reasonable prices and their
Tziki sauce is loaded with garlic.
The greatest strength that the Bayshore Westin has is that it is very quiet day
or night. No blaring sirens or loud party goers. A good night's sleep is easy to
find here. (plus it does not hurt that the beds and pillows are very nice)

I was in Vancouver twice this fall and each time stayed in a different hotel.
While both were very nice, the Westin Bayshore was superior. it's location is
fantastic for views - watching sea planes take off from the bay and the moon
rising over North Vancouver. I usually prefer smaller hotels, but had to stay
here for a conference. I didn't feel overwhelmed by its size because of the
intimate lobby with fireplace and friendly staff. I ate in the restaurant
overlooking the marina and the food was good and topped off with a marina view.

My fiancee and I enjoyed this hotel immensely. The concierge was superb, and
went out of his way to help us in every way possible. The living quarters were
beautiful, and most importantly, comfortable and clean feeling. It is within 10
minutes walking distance from the main street in town, Robson.

The hotel makes you relax as soon as you get there with an airy soft wood
paneled lobby, and you're bound to get a room with a great view of Vancouver
harbour or Stanley Park. I felt really pampered when I was there. It's much
better than staying in a usual downtown business hotel. As soon as you walk out
the door, you can also step right onto Vancouver's famous Seawall walking path.
You can walk into the heart of downtown in about 15 or 20 minutes along the
habourfront, or reach the English Bay beaches in about the same amount of time.
I'm a big fan. It's also well set up for business, with my room having a long
desk with lots of space to plug in my laptop and an easy to find set of power
outlets, a phone jack and ethernet cable.

Rooms, are not to believe. Very big and modern and beautiful. Service is
impeccable and quick. Location is also perfect, views are amazing and there are
lots of walking areas right downstairs.
