We live in the Vancouver area and whenever my wife and I do date night we stay here. Make sure you get one of the rooms with the tub in the room (wink wink)
Great restaurant and the staff are really happy and helpful.

Over the years, I have stayed at the Wedgewood a few times for both business and pleasure. This past November, my husband and I stayed here for a long weekend, and we enjoyed this hotel a fair amount. The location is very good - near the art gallery, shopping, and walking distance (or a short cab ride) to many restaurants. However, we both felt the hotel is in need of some renovation. It's not changed in a decade (at least, possibly longer), and some of the fixtures and decore are dated. Also, our room was near the elevator, despite having asked for a quiet room. This was a disappointment.

Still, the service was very good, and our room had a nice view of the park. We enjoyed our time, but would in the future likely choose a hotel that was either built for or updated as a result of the Olympics. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for families. I did not use the gym, but my husband did. He said it that calling it a gym is a stretch - more of a work-out bathroom really.

In two months we will have gone back to Vancouver three times and each time we stay at The Wedgewood Hotel. The rooms are spacious and attractive and the amenities are classy. A box of delicious chocolates greets you when you walk in and each day two yummy freshly baked cookies are brought to your room. All the staff from the valets to the desk go out of their way to be helpful and thoughtful. The hotel's location is in downtown Vancouver and there are lots of interesting shops plus art galleries and the Art Museum within walking distance. It's a phenomenal walking city! It's a phenomenal city!

This is a superb "boutique" hotel well located in the center of the city. It is right in the shopping and business district and close to tourist attractions. The staff are first rate. The Bacchus Restaurant in the hotel is over the top; the food is top notch and the setting is romantic. Cookies and chocolates were provided in the room at the end of the day and a newspaper was hung on the door in the morning. There was free in room WiFi. This was our second visit. The room was a delux King that was exceptionally well appointed. We plan to go back.

Every year we visit the Wedgewood, for a birthday celebration and a romantic weekend away.
Staying here is a wonderful jump start to the holiday season.
Rooms with soak tubs are wonderful, getting a room facing east you get the wonderful Christmas lights of the trees outside.
this was our 12 year, so we will be back

This was a wonderful hotel with the most superb service. From the doorman to the concierge. A quiet comfortable room, bed lovely touches chocolate chip cookies yummy.

I stayed in this wonderful boutique hotel for 4 days and loved every minute of it....the 12th Floor Penthouse Suite overlooking the park is just fantastic.....everything is just nothing short of perfection.....service, amenities and even the incredible location. Just a few steps from parks, attractions & shopping....

Just spent 2 nights in this welcoming, centrally located, quality hotel. Cant recommend it too highly. Superb, genuinely friendly service from start to finish, and very good value for money. Just what a good hotel should be. Ill be back.
