Stayed here while attending the Olympics. The staff was
extremely helpful and friendly (all of them!) Although
overpriced for the timeframe (but everything that was available
was!) the location was great and walk able or near the bus
routes. Can't wait to go back to Vancouver and would stay here
again. The breakfast was simple but the room had a full kitchen
if you wanted to add to the toast and Croissants.

We were in town during the Winter Olympics games and had lucked
out by finding the Sunset Inn & Suites. We found that it was
perfect for our trip. Like they describe, the place is like no
other because it offers an excellent location with
apartment-like accommodations.
We found our Executive One Bedroom suite to be the perfect size
and found the many small touches like bottled water and the DVD
player to be a nice bonus. The staff was very helpful - allowing
us to leave our bags upon checkout and also arranging for a cab
to come at 2am in the morning one night.
Regarding the complaints about the free breakfast, we found it
to be ample and satisfying. They had juice, apples, oranges,
coffee, milk, cereal, croissants, english muffins, and bread. To
pair with it they had peanut butter, strawberry jam, and butter.
The fact that they provide trays to take to your room is nice. I
usually don't care to eat in an often loud room with a tv and a
bunch of strangers. We liked being able to easily take the
breakfast back to our room.
The place was clean and had everything we could need or want. We
liked having the furnished kitchen. Ok, this is enough rambling
about how great this place was and how we would definitely stay
there again. Thanks, Sunset Inn & Suites - i hope to stay with
you again in the future!

The Sunset Inn has an excellent location on a quiet tree lined
street which is walking distance to many area attractions
including my favorite beaches, parks and downtown restaurants.
Although booking last minute, I was pleasantly surprised by the
spaciousness and comfort of this fully equipped suite including
a great king size bed. The friendly staff went out of the way to
make you feel welcome, secure parking was onsite. Overall great
experience and I look forward to future extended stays for both
business and pleasure.

This is a fantastic hotel if you're doing work in Vancouver. I
am sitting at my desk, in front of the window, looking at an
incredible sunset over the mountains. I can easily walk anywhere
for meetings and there is a bakery, grocery store, drug store
and produce market within crawling distance.
The housekeeping staff are friendly and efficient, the kitchen
is fully stocked, there is a small but sufficient workout room,
and it is a 3 minute jog to an incredible running path on the
water.

On check-in we were upgraded from a standard room to a standard
suite: bedroom with king bed, sitting room, dining area and
separate kitchen. The extra space was nice, as our visit
coincided with a monsoon; it was good to have extra room to dry
things out. Also, having a kitchen meant you use the local
markets to get supplies for lunch and/or eat in without a lot of
hassle or expense. The breakfast was sparse, but that was okay,
as it was as advertised and enough to get you out the door.
The location in a residential area is pleasant. Great public
transportation is available within 1-2 blocks, with buses going
everywhere for minimal cost. It was really nice to walk back
from the bus stops on the busier streets and turn onto quiet
Burnaby St. The staff was helpful with recommendations.
This isn't a glitzy place, but it sure was comfortable. I would
stay here again, but next time would request a room on the south
side of the building on the upper floors (facing English Bay),
as the rooms on that side would seem to be a bit quieter with a
nicer view....more....(2)
