For the past 9 years I have been the Queensland Leader of Groups to Canada/Alaska. Rosedale on Robson, Vancouver, British Columbia is our first port of call after arriving into the Airport after a long flight from Australia. This hotel is so safe, friendly, comfortable and convenient. We stay here 5 nights out of 23 during our tour and I cannot genuinely speak highly enough of the service given by all facets of the hotel staff to all my travellers.

we chose this hotel for its affordability as compared to other options given to us from our TA.
We only had 1 night and would have benefitted from longer as we did not really have long enough to orientate ourselves.
Our 1 bedroom unit was big and comfy - light and airy and we could see out at apartments on the other side of street.
There is a pub /cafe attached to hotel- breakfast service was slow but it was handy.
There are timeshare units attached to this hotel and if we could get a exchange into them we would take it like a shot as the location is central.

This is our second stay here, first was about 7 years ago and this time I think if anything the hotel was better than ever. It's an all suite hotel which gives just that extra space to move around, having a small kitchenette is really handy after a day out sightseeing and for breakfast too. There was a great grocery store, called Market Place not that far away for provisions. Not that far from Canada Place for cruise ship departures and all other shops etc within easy distance. Stanley Park was quite a way away but we still walked there.

Four of us (Two adults, one teenage and one 6 month old) traveled to Vancouver for my best friend Birthday to watch a Canucks game in March. We chose to stay here because it's close to Robson, and close to GM Place.
We had a room that had a living/kitchen area with a Hide-A Bed, and then a "master" bedroom with a King sized bed. This was perfect for us! There was a roof top balcony off the master bedroom. It was rainy the entire time we were there, so we didn't get to use the garden area, but it was really pretty to look out on.
We REALLY enjoyed our stay! The cleaning ladies were great! They saw that it was a room full of women when we passed in the hall our first morning there, and they immediately, without being asked, left extra shampoos, soaps, and towels.
The restaurant downstairs was very nice, the staff was friendly, and it was easy to get a cab when needed. Because of the great location, we mainly walked as we were pretty close to everything.
We are already planning next years trip, and can't wait to stay here again!

We stayed here for 1 night before our cruise in the 2 bedroom suite & then again in the same suite for 1 night after the cruise, I have no complaints what so ever.
They let us check in at 9.00am which was fantastic, the restaurant Rosie's next door was great, they also have a indoor pool/hot tub as well as a gym.
The rooms were very clean & spacious, the staff were polite & helpful.
Would definitely recommend!

During our recent stay in Vancouver, we picked the Rosedale on Robson because of its proximity to GM Place, where we were attending a concert. We were not disappointed.

For reasons unknown to me. we were upgraded to superior room. This gave us a lovely, tucked away, corner room, with a king-sized bed, on a high floor, which made for a very relaxing environment. Accommodations here are not fancy, but are clean and comfortable, and, for being right on a very busy street, amazingly quiet.

The staff were all very friendly The location, besides being close to our concert, is just steps away from Yaletown on one side and the heart of Robson street on the other.

Things that were not really drawbacks for us, but might be to someone depending on what you are looking for: Despite having a kitchenette in the room, there is no real eating area/table. Also, we could only stay parked in their garage until 1:00 PM on the day we checked out. We were planning to head out of town at lunchtime anyhow, so did not really care. BUT, most anywhere else I've ever stayed, I've been able to stay parked until much later on check-out day.

The continental breakfast was pretty bad. The bread was stale and they ran out of yogurt. We did not even bother. The husband says this should cost them a star. Instead, I only took a away half a star. But, with the current exchange rate, three-and-a-half stars American comes out to four stars Canadian, and so they are back where they started.

Seriously, the "complaints" are minor. The Rosedale on Robson gave me a good night's sleep in a safe, convenient location and at a good price. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel or motel is on the end of the Robson corridor after all the action is over. I figure it'd be a really noisy place to stay over night because of the traffic and such, but it seems busy and for tourist without a car, the location is ideal. Not a big chain hotel, the rooms are clean and cheaper than usual. Very basic decor and standard in every aspect, there is a restaurant and parking. But since it's so close to other restaurants, you want to go out and eat.

The staff at the front were all dressed in Canuck uniforms and very helpful. Though it was very busy, the staff was able to get us to our suite in about 15 minuets. We were there for a Timeshare promotion for 2 nights and tickets to the Canucks that night. The tickets were presented to us at the front desk, without even doing the timeshare tour. (tour was on Sunday morning). This resort is walking distance to most downtown attractions, and we left the our car in the garage the whole time. After the tour on Sunday, we also received a $50 visa card as a thank-you. We had lunch at Rosies Grill in the hotel. The staff made us feel right at home, and the food was excellent! We will go on another timeshare tour if thats how they are all done, with out a doubt!

This hotel is the best option for the money. I went on vacation there with my parents and my sister. We stayed in a two-bedroom suit. It was roomy, comfortable, clean and definitely worth the money we paid. In addition, the hotel takes a AAA discount. The location is excellent. We were able to walk to any part of the city from there. It is also right across from the Vancouver library which is a work of art. If you want great shopping, entertainment, comfort and restaurants, stay at Rosedale on Robson. You won't be disappointed!

Having read some of the reviews on this accommodation we were a little concerned that it might be out dated and basic. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised. We were allocated a refurbished one bedroom suite (room 301). All the furnishings were tasteful and looked new. The lounge / kitchenette are compact, but had a very homely feel, the bedroom was a good size and had a rooftop garden which was very pleasant. The suite was very clean and well equipped. The pool / hot tub / steam room / sauna were all in working order and we enjoyed using them each day. If you are on a timeshare exchange / owner then you are able to have free DVD rental / games / books / internet access. The location of the hotel is perfect, just on the outskirts of Yaletown and walk able to all the sights in Vancouver as well as having lots of trendy bars / restaurants within 5-10 min walk. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. My only advice is make sure you request a refurbished room as the others are dated and in need of attention

Stayed at the Rosedale on Robson for 8 nights with a friend. Room was very clean and spacious and the beds were huge and comfortable. There is the option of having your sheets changed daily if you wish. The aircon unit was a bit loud but didn't cause me any problems sleeping. I couldn't get the wifi signal in my room but the wifi in the lobby was free. The pool was small and the steam room looked dirty and old, but the sauna was excellent as was the hot tub. The washers and dryers are on every second floor and I had to look on 5 different floors before I found a laundry room where both of them worked. The shampoo and moisturizer provided in the bathroom was good quality, which surprised me! Although the apartment has a kitchen, we didn't use it other than to make tea in the morning but it was useful to have a fridge for milk. The staff at the front desk were always very helpful when I had questions about transport.

On arriving at the hotel a porter was waiting for a taxi and having commandeered ours asked if we wanted assistance in with our bags.

Registration in the small, basic, reception area was speedy and our suite on the fifth floor almost opposite the lift. There were 2 lifts, both in good working order and we never had to wait more than a minute for a lift. The suite itself was spotlessly clean and very comfortable.

The kitchen had everything I needed and was equipped with washing up liquid and some basic tea, coffee and sugar. The little convenience store at the hotel entrance supplied all my needs for the week and the prices seemed quite reasonable to me.

The lounge area that you entered from the corridor had no outside window but the lighting was adequate and one whole wall was mirror giving an even more spacious feel. The seating was comfortable and the television was there along with extra storage.

A little galley kitchen led through to the bedroom area which had two huge beds. I was starting to get used to the size of the beds in Canada which all seem enormous to me. Lots of storage in the bedroom and a wardrobe for hanging clothes contained an iron and board.

The bathroom/shower area was bright and spotlessly clean and there was a washing machine and drier on every second floor. I used both to freshen up my wardrobe for the next leg of our trip.

Downstairs, off the reception area, is Rosie's restaurant. The food was good, the service cheerful, friendly and efficient and the prices reasonable and we ate there several times. The swimming pool looked enticing but I was always so busy either writing up my journal or planning/looking out the itinerary for the next day that I didn't get round to using it.

I loved this hotel. I felt very comfortable here and would go back. The only drawback was the 10 minute walk to the Chinese area or the 20 minutes it took to walk to the harbour area but this was hardly a drawback as we needed the exercise and we didn't even bother to investigate public transport or take a taxi which was not expensive.

I loved Vancouver A super week in lovely comfortable accommodation!

This was our second time staying at the Rosedale. We were unimpressed with our first stay in a Standard room, so had high hopes for the upgraded accommodation.

While the decor and uncomfortable bed were pretty much the same for both the Standard and Superior suites, we definitely liked the layout and views better in the Superior.

The elevators are painfully slow at times and the ice machines are few and far between.

On the pro side, the location is very good for anyone attending an event at GM Place, BC Place, etc.

Frankly, if we ever stay here again we will pay the extra $ to stay in a superior suite. There is still room for improvement, but it was definitely more appealing that the standard!

We spent 3 nights at Rosedale on Robson in Aug 2008. It was great, having a kitchen was really handy, we were on a long trip so it was really nice to be able to do your own thing. It is in a great position, near the busy Robson St but up the end so it was a little more quiet. Good value for money, and the internet was really cheap too! Highly recommend it.

We stayed on the 8th floor in a timeshare unit and were pleasantly surprised. We had a main bedroom with galley kitchen, bathroom and sitting room. The unit is small but was very suitable for the three of us, anymore would have been crowded. The staff were excellent. Rosie's bar was ok for food. The Vancouver area is a construction site at the moment. The hotel was central for everything and we would stay here again. it is a 3 star motel, so if you don't expect the Ritz you wont be disappointed.

The hotel has a great location, literally 15 min. walking to waterfront (Sea bus terminal). There is a lot of construction going on in the area, but we have not heard any noise from the construction site in our room. We stayed 3 people in the room, which had 2 queen beds and a pull-out couch, which turned out to be a really comfortable to sleep on, 2 TVs, ok size bathroom. Furniture etc. seemed to be new. Breakfast is complimentary and given that couple of muffins, tea and coffee I consider adequate. The staff was ok apart from the fact that when our business partners called us from overseas, they were informed we already checked-out which was not the case. Also, be aware that when you check out and want to leave you bag with a concierge, you will have to pay 1 CAD, this I consider extremely cheap on the hotel's part, but oh well... Given the great rate from www.Allure-hotels.com , I still rate this hotel above average and would definitely stay there again and recommend it.

Stayed 3 days prior to our cruise. The hotel was excellent Hotel Location and close to the library, where there was a bus stop for the Hop on Hop off tours. The bar & restaurant at the Rosedale was excellent ,we dined there for every meal. Excellent meals & very reasonably priced. Within walking distance to the shops on Robson St. Small taxi fare to cruise terminal.

We love Vancouver and returned to the Rosedale for the second time. We were welcomed with an upgrade and had surprise views of snow-capped peaks through high-rise blocks. Reception staff were warm and efficient, going out of the way to provide maps and information. Our suite had everything we needed and the complimentary hot drinks, muffins and pastries each morning were a scrummy bonus.

We stayed five nights and easily filled our days, taking public transport to Grouse Mountain, Granville Island and walking the fabulous Stanley Park. All in all, a wonderful stay.

This was the second time we have stayed at the Rosedale, we had a one bedroom suite, with two queen beds and a pull out sofa in the lounge room. We were traveling with our two teenage sons, we found we had plenty of room for the 4 of us.
We picked this motel again because of the Hotel Location, it is just so handy to shopping and tourist bus stops, all within walking distance.
The front desk was so helpful, on arrival after coming off our cruise ship we were given our room straight away. The lady at the front desk told us about some tours that might interest us, and made all the booking there and then, she even sold us tickets for the "big Bus" which takes you all over Vancouver to heaps and heaps of all the great tourist spots, like Gas Town, Stanley Park, and Canada Place just to name a few, you can hop on and off the bus as many times as you wish for two days for one price, it cost us $75.00 CAD for a family of 4 for 2 days.
The restaurant downstairs is really handy, not overly priced, and a wide range of food, its open for breakfast - lunch and dinner. There is a small store just outside the motel which sells just about everything you may need, and also a 7/11 across the road.
If your looking for a motel in a great Hotel Location, and good prices dont over look this place, you'll have a fantastic time.
