Awesome experience here. The lounge is cool, food was great and
the service was awesome. They new it was a special occasion and
had a complimentary bottle of bubbly waiting. The car service
was cool and convenient. I live in the city and they made us
feel as though we were away on vacation.

We stayed here for 3 nights and loved the room. Modern and well
designed with just a few minor faults that should be fixed if
they wish to maintain their high rating.
Pros: I loved the walls that move to expose or hide the
bathroom, the floor to ceiling windows and ability to open for
fresh air was appreciated, lots of counter/closet space and well
set-up for work/computer, nice decor and great location (very
convenient for the seawall and Robson St).
Cons: Bathroom sink design very poor - splashes you every time
you turn the water on (staff felt it necessary to warn us of
this problem), shower leaking so water spray present on shower
floor, soap shelf falling off (caulking coming loose), some
missed spots with cleaning.
The lounge was modern and chic with comfortable chairs. All in
all a very nice hotel, I would stay here again.

WOW! What a find! The Loden, located on Melville between Bute
and Smythe. We were given a 1-bedroom suite. Totally outfitted
with a WiiFit (didn't use...and after you hear about the food,
you'll know why)...dvd player, large (46"?) TV's in living room
and bedroom. Beautiful bathroom with separate toilet, shower and
tub.
The Voda Restaurant was amazing. Soup and Sandwich lunch was
amazing... crab sandwich and butter squash soup. Dinner was
beyond all expectations. The quality and presentation was
outstanding. The wines that were suggested matched the food
perfectly. Can't rate it high enough.
The Gym has state of the art equipment (the spin bikes look like
they are going 40 MPH just standing still) and it it open 24
hours a day. We booked massages which were given in a room
outfitted with 2 massage tables and an infra-red sauna.
The hotel staff were wonderful. Everyone greeted you. Asked if
you were staying in the hotel...seemed truly interested in our
answers. Not sure what the CAA/AAA status is....but easilly
should qualify for a 4-diamond award.

As many people have already reported, this is a very nice hotel,
but ... how about offering complementary WiFi? A lot of
coffee/sandwich shops around do provide that for free. There is
a Starbucks at the corner. But I found Wave Coffee (at the end
of the short block, down hill, right from Starbucks) to be
easier to use requiring no password. Coffee and cakes are nice
too.
I took the Canada Line from the airport to the hotel. I was
debating to get off at Vancouver City Center then walk or
transfer (at the end of the line) to the Sky line and get off at
Burrad for a shorter walk. In turn of time, it turned out to be
about the same.
BTW: from airport to downtown, it costs $8.75 one way. So, if
you have 3 people and it is raining, you may consider taxi -
unless it is rush hour then you may get stuck in traffic. From
down town to airport is only $3.75. The asymmetric $5 surcharge
from the airport is pretty strange.

I liked this hotel quite a bit. Everyone was extremely friendly
and helpful. The room, with its floor-to-ceiling window wall was
nice. Cool bathroom with two sliding doors that closed the room
but when left open really opened up the space. Distinct toilet
area with door and a big deep tub - both a plus. The rate
spot-on with other hotels in the area. I also liked the small
window that could be opened to get some fresh air.
The location was good for me. Close to Robson St. and striking
distance to Gastown and Coal Harbor. A bit of a walk to Yaletown
but totally doable. Anything further south would be a long trek
by foot or a cab ride. Will definitely want to check out that
area next time.
Had food from Voya in the restaurant once. While the arugula
salad was just ok (croutons?), the buffalo rib eye was perfect.

I took my wife and kids (2 yrs and 5 yrs) for a couple of days getaway
from home. I chose the Loden based on the reviews and I was more than
happy with the decision.
From the booking, to the valet service, to check in and hotel quality I
give the hotel and it's staff the highest ratings. The staff was willing
(and located) to help us find my son's shoes that he'd kicked off in the
car and that we were looking for in the rain. They found the missing
shoe and brought it up to the room less than 10 minutes after we'd
returned after they parked our vehicle in their secure facility.
The front desk offered to take us anywhere we wanted to go - aquarium -
in their vehicle so we could enjoy and not worry about the parking or
driving in an unfamiliar city.
very person working at the Loden was friendly, helpful, nice and
pleasant to be around. We felt we had a great stay.
The room was beautiful, immaculate and silent. I would recommend going
as a couple, which was not an option for us, but it would be a scenic
and romantic place to stay.

We stayed here with our 2 teenage sons for 1 night after returning from
Whistler/Blackcomb. The hotel is beautiful - clean & very modern, & well
located. The rooms are a very nice size with gorgeous bathrooms &
amenities. Fabulous bed - big fluffy comforter, high quality sheets. The
staff could not have been nicer or more helpful with suggesting dinner
reservations, getting us a a taxi for the airport, printing business
documents, etc. I really loved this hotel & would definitely return. I
would love to have stayed here longer!

Stayed here for a night after returning from New Year's in Whistler.
From start to finish it was a great experience. Drove in early from
Whistler because of the weather, arrived downtown at 12 and though what
the hell we'll try and check in early. Pulled up to the front, & I ran
in just to check, 10 minutes later we were all checked in and settled in
a stunning corner suite (701). Bathroom was gorgeous with a separate
bath/shower/toilet, dimmers on the lights. Toiletries were by Molton
Brown (BIG thumbs up!) , plenty of towels, and 2 lush bathrobes. There
was lots of closet space/drawers, a sitting area, desk and a very comfy
bed. In the closet there was a huge umbrella (perfect for the rainy
weather), an environmentally friendly shopping bag, and a yoga mat (to
go along with the yoga channel on the tv). Each suite has it's own door
bell which you can silence by pressing a button on the wall so you won't
be disturbed. The hotel also has a London car service which will drop
you off anywhere downtown. Location wise it was also good. Quiet area
but walking distance to both the waterfront and Robson. Got a pretty
decent deal of their website, 150 for the night. Bill with valet and tax
came to 225. We really did not want to leave, we wished we could stay a
few more days. Next time we're in Van we'll definitely return!

This hotel is absolutely phenomenal ! From the moment we made our
reservations with Mike for our honeymoon, until we arrived, and set foot
in the hotel.....it's a step above all the others, and we are used to
other 4-5 star hotels. We enjoyed the champagne left for us in our
suite, with the fruits and candies, to the restaurants recommended by
the hotel staff who greeted us with smiles each day and remembered us by
name. We could walk to virtually anywhere and the restaurant lounge was
also a cut above with the bartenders ! The rooms were contemporary with
twice daily turn down and beds so comfortable you don't want to get up.
I'd recommend this hotel in a heartbeat to anyone and the prices are
impressive !
Thanks for making our honeymoon absolutely memorable.

Beautifully designed hotel. Absolutely no flaws. And above all:
exquisitely friendly and helpful staff. Good location in close proximity
of shops, restaurants and famous Gastown district. Excellent restaurant
& bar ("Voia") in the hotel.
Wouldn't choose another one in downtown Vancouver.

Upon arrival at the hotel, the concierge greeted us immediately and
offered to help with the bags etc. The hotel lobby was stunning, as were
the rooms. The staff were very attentive and helpful.
We went to the hotel restaurant Voya for dinner. It was very nice and
modern, but very noisy and for us older folk, bring a flashlight to read
the menu. I had wild salmon, basil & goat's cheese ravioli, sauce vierge.
The portion was very small for $27 and the fish was overdone. Bottles of
wine started at about $50. I thought this restaurant was outrageously
overpriced and poor value for what you get.
The issue I had with the hotel, was the attention to detail. The
bathroom counter was dirty and the toilet paper holder was falling off
the wall. The biggest issue for me was the noise of the elevator. I woke
early in the morning and couldn't get back to sleep, because I was
fixated on the vibration and noise of the elevator that would occur
every 30 seconds or so. The sound of the air conditioner that came on
from time to time, was somewhat similar to that of a plane starting its
engines.
So yes, the hotel was nice, but for a 5 star hotel, I would expect more
especially when it comes to the mechanical noise heard in the room.

I spent 4 days at the Loden mid October and was rather happy to have
chosen the hotel. Service is top notch as I had experienced in other Kor
properties. The hotel is rather new (maybe just over a year or so), so
rooms are very modern and comfy (great bathroom with separate bath and
power shower, first class beauty products), great bed, tv with surround
sound also in the bathroom. My room had lake views, which were partially
obstructed by other buildings. They have a trendy bar and a restaurant
(very good breakfast, small menu), and the staff is quite attentive and
not pushy for any additional service. This area of town is very modern
and very convenient for business, but the hotel is also close to one of
the main shopping streets (Robson) and plenty of restaurants (Joe Fortes
is really good for seafood!). Staying at the Loden is very convenient
for sightseeing, and Vancouver is indeed a very beautiful city. I will
definitely stay here again when I come back.

If you have business anywhere between Burrard and Denman this new Hotel
offers a great location. It is on a quiet street was only a short two
blocks for me down to the seawall and very close to the Burrard
Skytrain. Some of there fixtures are more form than function, including
a bathroom sink and clock radio that are poor designs but the bathroom
spout was one of the coolest things I have seen.

Perfect Location (near the water, Starbucks, restaurants/bars and
shopping), modern rooms, great price, gym was awesome and staff was
friendly. This is a terrific hotel in every way. The staff could not
possibly be more accommodating, the rooms are terrific, and the location
is great. I look forward to my next stay...

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. I could go on and on about it, but
I'm not as eloquent as the previous advisors! We were blown away by the
service, the quality and the location of this hotel. The staff were
outstanding, the room huge and beautiful and any room where I can sit in
the deep bath/tub and still see the television AND hear it because of
speakers in the bathroom is pretty impressive! The separate toilet is
great, the bathroom wall opened up to the bedroom area, which was nice,
and the sofa in the corner of the room was just great for lounging and
reading by lamp light.
The access to the business center was a nice touch and as we had a lot
of things to organize for the rest of our holiday it was much
appreciated!
Great location, beautiful room, wonderful staff- if you need to stay in
Vancouver you can't go past the Loden
