I am very very hard to please. I look and search and check and
check to try to find just the
perfect spot wherever it is that I am going.
This was a Great Choice! Very surprising. I loved the Boutique
Suite. Great bed, perfect
linens and pillow choices (and lots of them). They changed the
linen everyday, but of course if you prefer for them not to, I
am sure they would accommodate.
I loved the marble bathrooms, fully equiped with all that I
needed and more. Lots of room, luxury right down to the towels.
The breakfast were over the top, and delicious, but pricie
(worth every dime, but if your on
a budget you might check that part out before you eat).
Other than that the location was perfect, the rooms met and
exceeded our expectations
and the service was wonderful. You cannot make a mistake by
staying here. I will again
and again.

We loved the suite - great kitchen (ss fridge, gas stove, great
appliances, knives, etc.); luxury bathroom with walk-in shower, 2
flat-screen TV's and even a tiny office with a desk for the
lap-top. Staff were professional (they do that thing where they
always greet you by name) and friendly. Good location; walking
distance to downtown, near the public library and the CBC.
Heated outdoor (salt-water) pool is gorgeous, but in December,
you have to walk too far in the cold to get there and back from
the change room. I braved it a couple of times but it's too
adventurous. It was quiet, comfortable.. and there's a handy
grocery store steps away.

Our 1 Room suite was huge. The living room had a sofa, 2 chairs,
table and chairs, fireplace and flat screen TV. There was a wet
bar with small refrigerator. The bedroom had a huge king size
bed with another large chair and desk. The bathroom was
beautiful, marble walk in shower and large tub, with separate
toilet. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was
excellent. Robson street is 10 steps away. The City Centre area
which has all of the shopping and restaurants was 2 blocks away.
There is no restaurant or room service because this is a
boutique hotel, but the IGA grocery downstairs had everything
you could want. I thought the price was excellent for a suite
like this right in the center of everything. We will definitely
return.

The just-opened L’Hermitage Hotel is a new, modern building,
designed by a renowned Canadian architecture firm. The 60-room
boutique property is a great buy starting at around $130 a
night. It’s set downtown in the trendy Robson Street shopping
district within walking distance to galleries and nightlife. The
hotel features an outdoor, heated-saltwater lap pool, Jacuzzi,
sauna and fitness center. It’s restaurant, L’Orangerie & Library
is only open for a continental breakfast until 10am.

Like the Loden, L'Hermitage is one of Vancouver's newest hotels.
L'Hermitage features a heated outdoor saltwater lap pool, a 24
hour fitness studio, steam room, a fully equipped business
centre and a great location. L'Hermitage offers rooms and suites
including some with fully equipped kitchens, washer and dryer,
fireplace and private patio.

We stayed at L'Hermitage for three nights at the end of our ski trip in
Whistler.
While there was absolutely no fault with our room (one bedroom boutique
suite with a beautiful big bathroom) or the excellent personal service
provided by the Lobby and concierge staff (such as restaurant and
sightseeing recommendations, taxi bookings) this hotel is new and
unfortunately doesn't currently have a restaurant or bar. We understand
this is likely to change in 2010. In addition, note that the outdoor lap
pool and Jacuzzi access is through the gym and with no slippers being
provided to guests you need to be prepared to walk bare feet in the
winter to benefit from this facility. However, the hotel is in a good
downtown location, with easy access to all the major sightseeing
Vancouver has to offer, and minutes from Robson Street - perfect for
teenagers needing a retail fix!

We stayed at the hotel for one evening before heading out to Whistler.
Though we arrived after midnight, the staff on hand was excellent and
very accommodating. The concierge was very helpful in making lunch
recommendations, and we couldn't have asked for better service overall.
The rooms were nicely appointed, though a little small. The bathrooms
was definitely the highlight and very luxurious. The only real negative
was the lack of a minibar, particularly since we got in late from a
flight and there wasn't any room service available.

We loved this place. Roomy lovely hotel with a sitting room, nice
location, fantastic bathroom. Above all, the staff is courteous and
warm. Vancouver is a nice enough city, but it was the hotel that made it
so comfortable.

Huge, spotless room with impressive bathroom. Great location, we walked
everywhere we needed to go. This was our second stay at the L'Hermitage
and since we were so happy with the first stay, we had high expectations
this time. We will be back next time we visit Vancouver.

This was the perfect stay in Vancouver - my only wish is that it were a
little longer. The room was very plush and comfortable. The bathroom was
huge with a separate shower and tub and toilet in its own separate
space. The room was unbelievably comfortable. It had a great fireplace
and balcony. The alarm had an IPOD dock. The bed was one of my favorite
parts because it was big and super comfy. The public space was very
nice. The library was much appreciated and felt very plush. Even the
hallways felt incredibly plush. On top of all this the location was
perfect. We brought our car but never used it till our last day. We were
able to walk around everywhere from the hotel.

Upon arrival at L'Hermitage we were upgraded to one bedroom premium
queen - basically, a one bedroom apartment with lounge, full kitchen,
sun room, bedroom with walk in wardrobe, marble bathroom with separate
shower and bath and a utility closet with washer and tumble-dryer. Our
package did not include breakfast, although a very pleasant residents
lounge and dining room (for breakfast only) is available. A well
appointed gym and outdoor swimming pool is also available, but these are
shared with the residents of the apartments set above the hotel. When we
were caught out by a wet and windy day in downtown we happily dried out
our clothes and spent half a day being self sufficient in the room.
Everything is within easy walking distance (Stanley park - 25 to 30
minutes up Robson Street) and a well stock supermarket can be found at
the corner of the hotel. The service and the quality of the room made us
feel very special at the beginning of our holiday. the only downside is
that traffic noise from the streets below could be heard quite easily
and, as it is in the heart of downtown, traffic was present throughout
the night.

We recently visited Vancouver in September and stayed at the L'Hermitage
Hotel. It was in a very good location. The decor was very modern and odd
here and there but nice for most part. Staff was very helpful and
friendly. Great price for what you get in the room. We had a Queen suite
which came with a full kitchen, small stack washer/dryer. While the room
was spacious the bedroom was not and the bathroom had NO counter space
and it was in the main area so it was a little odd, I felt there we as
lot of wasted space that could have been better utilized for the
bathroom Nevertheless, it was very nice.
