Went on business with my wife & toddler:
Hospitality – Professionally and efficiently done via the adjoining
Sutton Place. Really plush lobby. Free newspaper. Expensive self parking
($30/day), but with in/out privileges.
Food – Easier to eat at a nearby Vancouver restaurant than at the hotel.
Accommodation – A bit tight on space, but more than enough in our 1
bedroom suite. Fantastic large sized TV with amazing sound system. Great
kitchen cutlery, dishwashing supplies, cooking utensils and small
appliances. Fantastic location, couldn’t be better in downtown
Vancouver, really. We ran outside for workouts, walked short distances
for nearby shopping (you get a 20% discount at Roots for staying at the
hotel!), and drove for major attractions.Reviews La Grande Residence at The Sutton Place

The apartments in this hotel are brilliant and have all the facilities needed
for an extended stay or a fleeting visit.
The Hotel has good fitness facilities and a swimming pool which is never busy!
The drawback is having to walk down a flight of stairs once you have gotten
changed for swimming - wear flip-flops!
My partner and I dinned in the restaurant for breakfast, which was very
reasonably priced - Don't think that the portions will be small like most
hotels! We ordered double the first morning, expecting small quantities of food,
but were pleasantly surprised!
The staff were brilliant and courteous at all times. I would recommend this
hotel for all types of travellers from single/couples to families. It is located
in the heart of Downtown Vancouver with a grocery store next door which was
amazing.

Was my third time staying at the Sutton Place, but first time in an apartment.
We requested an apartment, since we travelled with our little girl, and it was
convenient to have a kitchen to prepare her food in the morning. Sutton Place
staff is always very friendly and accommodating. We loved it. Apparently the
Sutton is the only hotel in Vancouver with five diamond accolades. They deserve
it. Love the Gerard Bar in the evening.
