Nice Hotel, good location. Staff was helpful and happy to help you. Rooms were clean and nicely appointed. Our room didn't have a good view but we paid a very cheap rate with entertainment card and therefore can't complain. No complaints!

Arrived at the Holiday Inn Vancouver Downtown on Aug 31st and stayed for three nights. Room was ready when I got there. Front Desk staff was very friendly. Room was on the 6th floor and was very nice. King Size bed, small loveseat, desk and small bathroom with nice fluffy towels and great shower. Had breakfast in hotel restaurant. Wait staff was very attentive and friendly too! Everything was just what I needed for my stay in Vancouver. Hotel is located within walking distance to Davie St, Robson Street and the waterfront.

Our room was small, hot, and smelled of urine (#502). There was even a air purifier in our room when we went in, the housekeeper followed us in and took it out. Desk clerk was rude and not much help. Due to a irremovable lock the only window would not open more then an inch. We had breakfast in the restaurant, was very good and the waitress was super friendly.
Centrally located, but certainly not worth nearly $250.00 a night !!
Look elsewhere if you can.

stayed here for one week in august hotel is at dodgy end of Granville street and if walking to town should go down Howe street it is a 10 15 minute walk. also dining options close to hotel are limited. that said for English guests the food is very reasonable and of good quality generally the staff are very friendly and helpful. the swimming pool is unattended has no changing room or Jacuzzi and is rather cold. this is the best situated hi for downtown and reasonably priced. a word of warning about downtown Vancouver the area between Gastown and Chinatown is very unpleasant and walking directly between the two is not to be recommended

We stay for 3 nights on beginning of August. Good location, since it was easy to go to tourist attractions by bus and easy to find restaurants. Unfortunately the service was poor especially the house keeping, they cleaned the room even when we put "DO NOT DISTURB" sign on the door knob and they didnt do their job very well. Based on our experiences with Holiday Inn Hotel chain, we can say this one is the worst.

I booked two rooms for two nights at this place, as we were getting off a cruise ship and wanted to take in the sights before we went on home. Must say, they charge an arm and a leg, and don't provide much in return.

On the plus side, the people were very helpful and nice. We arrived early and they helped us check our luggage into the cloak room until we got our rooms.

The rooms were clean enough, but the beds were springy, and the sink would overflow at the slightest provocation. The swimming pool is an apology. The 3-foot area, for instance, is 2 feet wide. Kids can't do anything. To get from 3-feet to 10-feet, you need to use exactly three strokes. The elevators have sticky buttons. One elevator was out of service for the most part of our stay and the other got its alarm button stuck at 6 in the morning. Woke everyone up. You can't take the stairs from the lobby to the rooms. You must take the elevator. So, with only one working elevator, everyone spent a lot of quality time waiting for it.

The locations sucks too. It's right next to some sort of party area, and the day we were there, the crowds were really rowdy, and cops' sirens kept us up until 2.

Finally, for an arm and a leg, we don't get much. Breakfast is not included unless you are a Priority Club member and it's a weekday. Wi-Fi is free but you have to pay for the use of the business center. Parking is $15 per night. Local calls are $0.95 unless you are a Priority Club members and, apparently, so are some 800 numbers, unless the other side picks up the tab.

So, for $200/room/night, you get the privilege of sleeping between 2AM and 6AM.

Good, central location within walking distance of Robson Street, Vancouver Art Gallery, Canada Place etc. Comfortable, spacious room. Very strange bathroom arrangement which we didn't much like - the washbasin was in a separate alcove of the bedroom, with the toilet and bathtub (with good shower over) in an ensuite. Very, very comfortable bed - bliss. Helpful, friendly staff.

The downsides were the slow, cramped elevators, and the restaurant. We had breakfast one morning but it was truly awful and rather expensive. We then discovered so many much better places to eat breakfast, very close by. We ate one night at the Kettle of Fish - very good, but surprisingly unfriendly staff (our experience is that almost all other Canadians we have encountered have been very pleasant). Another night we ate in the wonderful Delilah's which is a very nice walk of about ten blocks through residential streets - it was such a nice walk that we walked both ways, even though we were tired from walking all day sightseeing. The great cocktails and superb meal at Delilah's, not to mention the wonderful service, really bucked us up.

Stayed at Holiday Inn for 3 nights while in Vancouver visiting my mom in hospital. My sister had already been in hotel for a week and was very happy with everything. Was pleasantly surprised by the great restaurant in hotel (didn't need to go anywhere else) as the food was reasonably priced and very good. The rooms were pretty typical hotel rooms, but very clean. My sister stayed on the executive level for the first few nights and really enjoyed the room. We had to move as they were booked for the weekend that I stayed there. Room was fine, but for a non-smoking room it really smelled like smoke. We were unable to open our window as we figured out the main outside smoking deck was just below and wow, was there ever a lot of smoke that came into the room! The staff was great - would definitely stay there again- just not in any of the rooms near the smoking deck!

Stayed here for one night only on arrival in Vancouver, before we headed down to Seattle on The Quick Shuttle (which collects & returns from outside this hotel). The room was clean, the breakfast was pretty good with plenty of choices and the evening meal was ok. We had lunch in the bar before leaving the hotel and the staff were happy to let us share a meal, as the portions were quite generous. Waiting and bar staff extremely helpful and friendly. Well located for visitor attractions, shops and restaurants.

Better than expected!
We stayed on the executive level (floors 7 or 8) for one night for business. We found the beds to be new with updated furniture then the last time we visited.

The room was large enough to have a king bed, be able to set out our papers, a table, a comfort chair and foot stool and free internet use in the rooms. The hotel has internet on 2 computers downstairs in the lobby but you pay for that.

We used room service and all the staff were very friendly and the food was delievered fast (20 minutes) and hot too! For an american full breakfast plus tip (already in the bill 15 %) it was less than 15.00 CAD.

The hotel parking was less expensive than most downtown hotels and less than 20.00.

The pros; Quiet CLEAN room, great beds (new), choice of pillows, free in room internet and a very nice group of employees. Decent room service prices.

The cons; Pay per use internet in the lobby-even if its to check your airline flight.

In a nutshell; Good solid hotel for short stay, would stay again.
