We just came back from Vancouver and stayed at Cascadia on 1234 Hornby
St. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Very good value for money and the
free breakfast is excellent.

Believe me I am a high maintenance customer and I do not have one
complaint regarding this hotel. The service from check in to check out
well exceeded above average service. The staff went above and beyond to
please us as customers, at no point did any of the staff make us feel
like we were putting them out and I did have a few extra requests, and
like I say they all were more than happy to meet any requirements and
double check to make sure we were happy. Housekeeping went above and
beyond. The fabulous complimentary breakfast which was already
unbelievable came with the most superior staff that were obviously proud
of their job. Wendy in particular she was the greatest, she really cared
about us and our stay. Excellent kitchen facilities in the hotel rooms
you would have to see to believe. Clean rooms, beautiful balconies, I
truly can not say enough nice things about this hotel. A+++++ BRAVO to
the hotel and staff for maintaining such a great establishment at a
reasonable price. I have nothing bad to say and believe me that is
unusual for myself.

My wife and I stayed here in Jan and it was our last stop. We nearly
saved the best for last. The room was huge, the perfect size. Breakfast
was a great way to start each day and the staff at MiBistro were so
friendly we decided to eat there every night. The amenities were great
and the location superb. Look forward to staying there again.

Wonderful staff. Very helpful with every question we had. Room was nice
and beds very comfortable. Kitchen was appreciated but the fridge was a
little noisy. Once we put some bottles of pop and water in was better.
The breakfast was amazing. A lot of variety.

The hotel is located in
Downtown Vancouver with easy access to the transit system. The rooms
are good size and well kept. The breakfast is included and has a lot to
offer, not the typical donuts & coffee. The staff is awesome and make
you feel like their only goal is to see that you enjoy your stay.

Traveling with my mother on a trip to visit the UBC campus and
Vancouver, we found this hotel was an excellent choice to stay. Minutes
walking from movies, restaurants, numerous cafes and shops. Nearby bus
stops to get you to all parts of Vancouver with ease. This hotel is
located on a more quiet street but just really a wonderful downtown
locations. The breakfast included was great, and the kitchenette
included was a wonderful treat to have. Also, the free wireless internet
was a plus!

Spent 3 nights between Christmas/New Year with my husband and 22 year
old daughter. Rooms are basic in terms of decor--but very clean with
wonderful mattresses and luxurious sheets. Didn't use the kitchen at
all--yes, it's small, but would be ok if one wanted to prepare a simple
meal. The Staff
who clear the tables, and find you a seat are lovely, as are the
housekeepers who clean your room. Good location (away from crowds, but
nice walk to Robson
Street. and Aqua
Bus to
Granville Island ) along with
very reasonable price for Vancouver, make this hotel a winner and worth
your consideration if you are not interested in glitz but care most
about comfort and quiet.

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times . We will be going back
to this hotel after trying out a couple other places since. The staff is
very friendly and helpful. The rooms are roomy and comfortable for four
people. Free internet is reliable. Pool is decent and hotel is well
secured. 7-11 just across the street and Tim Hortons around the corner.
Beds and pillows are pure comfort heaven! As an added bonus they have a
buffet type of breakfast that is included with your room. It is very
good with a great selection of food.

My husband and I are retired and we wanted to see this city before the
2010 Olympics. On the spur of the moment we went and were blessed that
we chose the Cascadia in downtown Vancouver - great location - we caught
the train from the airport and walked to the hotel with our luggage from
the Yaletown-Roundhouse Station (6-8 blocks) - helpful and gracious staff
(not only the front desk but also including housekeeping and breakfast
staff), excellent accommodations with well-equipped kitchen. Bus stop
across the street made travel around the city very easy. The breakfast
at the Cascadia was a great surprise - many choices and all fresh -
reminded us of breakfasts in Switzerland. We were out in the evening and
felt very safe traveling about the city. Look for Patrick, morning bus
driver of number 6 downtown bus - he was the best ambassador for
Vancouver of all the people we met. Also we caught our first lunch at
The Elbow Room, down the street from hotel. A great introduction to the
city. Did I mention the view of the city from our balcony?

I thoroughly enjoy staying at Cascadia Hotel & Suites which is
conveniently located right downtown. The location is just an enjoyable
stroll to Robson Street and
Granville Street Entertainment District and Davie Street and not
too far from Yaletown as well.
I also found the staff to be friendly and very helpful in seeing that my
needs were met and enjoyed the respect that the hotel staff has for my
privacy as well.
I have stayed at this hotel a few times for the clean and comfortable
rooms and have recommended the hotel to my friends, business colleagues
and family.

I would say that it was a good value for the money, good location,
though it seemed a little sketchy in the beginning. I walked by myself
at night the second night and it seemed quite safe. It's just one street
down Davie (Davie and Burrard) towards the water. It doesn't seem like a
very nice area, just old and not pleasant looking, but it's actually OK.
The area is very close to the water...in walking distance, around ~ 20
min and also close to Burrard and Robson...around 10-15 min walk. The breakfast is quite good, with everything we
wanted; eggs, fruits, cereal etc...definitely more than we expected. And
the fact that it has free internet, which worked very well, was another
bonus. The hotel lobby looks pretty old, it definitely need some
renovations.
the room turned out to be very nice and clean. The bathroom was very
clean. The beds were actually quite comfortable. It turned out to be a
very good choice...

This hotel was great! The room was really nice, with a kitchenette,
including dishwasher, which made cleanup a breeze and the bed linens
were 5 star. The housekeeping service was top-notch; fast, friendly and
professional.
The only draw back was the free breakfast buffet. It was okay , but
didn't equal the level of everything else.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I visited Vancouver for the first time in Nov.2009, and was lucky to
book a room at Cascadia. Spend 5 nights here and I am sooo pleased.
If visiting that area again I'll definitely stay at this hotel.

my room was large, clean and had all the amenities you need. it wasn't
the most modern room - if you're looking for big flat screen tvs and
marble tiles you won't find them here, but the room was clean and
comfortable. the staff was friendly and professional and the breakfast
was good the location was within walking distance to everything in
downtown Vancouver.

Spent 2 weeks in this hotel staying in Vancouver for the first time
while we explored the town. Room was spacious, spotlessly clean and the
two queen sized beds were comfortable.
Dishwasher, fridge and microwave were also included. Everything worked.
Breakfast included almost everything you could wish for. All hotel staff
were very friendly, from the front desk to the room maids. .
The price for the facilities it provided represents good value. Would
definitely stay here again on a future visit.
