Probably won’t go back
The motel is rather old but is in reasonable condition. The real problem is the neighborhood in which it is located... not so nice. It is situated on a very busy street but the rooms away from the street aren’t noisy. The room was the smokiest smelling non-smoking room I have experienced. The continental breakfast in the Chinese restaurant was humble but acceptable... waffles, oooh.

Very comfortable
Although this hotel was not near many of Vancouver’s hot spots, it was in a convenient location for the purpose of my trip. The hotel was surprisingly comfortable and I wish I knew to expect a pool- which looked very nice. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Overall, it’s satisfactory
The hotel is about 20 - 30 min. walk to the Metropolis mall. There is a restaurant adjacent to the hotel and a couple of others near by. In general, the room is clean. it’s ideal if someone plans to rent a car since there is free parking.

Wouldn’t return to this hotel.
Clean hotel with comfortable beds. However, there was a well used aroma to the room and also the bathroom. They advertized a pool but when we got there the pool was not usable because it had to be "inspected". Not listed on the hotel’s website as not functioning. This was one of my criteria for the hotel search as I have two kids. They had nothing to do for the evening but sit around looking for entertainment. There was entertainment around the hotel, but not the type for children. That one evening I took a stroll around the hotel grounds and saw several ladies of the night working their trade out of sight of the cameras. We had booked two nights in that hotel. We passed along our concerns to the clerk and asked for a refund but the clerk would not budge. She refused to refund our money. The clerk was very "matter of fact" in her approach. She looked at the matter as if I was bothering her. Realizing I was getting nowhere with her, I contacted Expedia.ca who took on our fight for us and got us a refund within an hour. Thanks Expedia.ca. Not satisfied at all with the Best Western Hotel, Kings Inn, Burnaby. This is the first Best Western I have had problems with.
Don’t believe all you read on the Best Western Kings Inn Burnaby. It isn’t as nice as the website. The pool isn’t usable.
