If for some reason you are needing to stay near the hospital, this is a good location. The room was very nice and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. Near lots of shopping. It's only a 5 min drive from the hospital. They give a very good rate as well if you are there because of treatments, check ups or whatever. Not far from the sky station

Stayed here for 1 night before moving to downtown to start a Canadian Rockies tour. This hotel was really nice, the room was comfortable, clean and modern. I was on a 3 month trip so I knew what a good room was when I saw it.
The bathroom was also nice and so was breakfast. The location was good, I was in the area sightseeing and the places I were going to were right around this. It felt like a safe area, not that I was out too late as I was exhausted from flying in earlier that day. I even had a local woman point out places to visit as we were waiting for the lights to change right outside the hotel. So the people were also very nice here too. Vancouver was a lovely place and so pretty, thankfully so was the hotel.

I love the 4th floor's high ceiling: looks great and full of fresh air in the room. The room scent not be any cleaner! It was spotless! The breakfast was nicer than I thought: lots of fresh pastries, my favorite! The juice, coffee, hot water was available most time of the day, not just at breakfast hours. The front desk agent was nice to apply a Best Western membership card for me while checked in, so I was able to receive some points after the stay. Perfect location to stay after my dad had an eye surgery at a nearby hospital and need to re-check at the eye care center not far away on the next early morning. The only Downside is: Double beds are too small and next door's noise were easy to hear and bothered me a bit at nighttime.

Located on Broadview and Main, close to Grandville ave with lots of shops and dining, easy to get downtown without having to pay high prices. Secure, underground parking is free and continental breakfast is included. Handy shopping mall across the road. Good value for a budget hotel.

Hated our 2 day stay. Our floor stank of marijuana both nights and when we complained the second night we were told we weren't the first to complain, that the housekeeping should have noticed and told front desk (sure blame the housekeeper when the idiots were bound to have do not disturb on the door), and that they couldn't do anything about it. It was sickening and smelt in the lifts, hall and also our room. Especially bad when you are travelling with a small child. They also don't have cots or cribs for small children - they said they weren't in use already, there literally weren't any. Don't go here if you are travelling with a small child as ours ended up on the floor on pillows - lucky he is 2 and not 6 to 12 months!

The neighborhood is not great either - lots of rough looking people around and saw several using the garden out front for toileting.

All in all gross. Friends nearby recommended Richmond area for next visit as it is affordable but easy to get to downtown via sky train. Just go anywhere but here. Manager said when I checked out he had only just been told about it because I had phoned best western central number to complain. I told him to read his own communication diary as it was already 10 am but was in there the day before. He then blamed night staff for not telling him! I would have thought breech of smoking policy (fire hazard) and especially with illegal substances, with multiple complaints would have been reported to management on the day! Useless place. Has put me off best western totally.

We stayed here in September before we cruised to Alaska and found the staff to be very friendly and efficient. The room was large and very comfortable. Breakfast was included and was plentiful. Lots of visitors at the hotel due to conferences but we always found a table.
Coffee facilities were in room and good.

We stayed here in Sept and arrived at 5.30.in the morning to be greeted by the manager
doing night shift. He was lovely and made us welcome by opening the breakfast room so we could make coffee. He also laid out Danish pastries etc so we could help ourselves. The rooms weren't ready as they were booked but he organized for 1 room to be ready asap
so we could drop our bags and go out.
The rooms were spotlessy clean and very comfortable and the beds were really good.
Overall we had a great stay and the bus service is really good just up the road.
Would stay here again and recommend to friends travelling to Canada.
