Oh my where do I begin. As stated in the other reviews, the wifi is HORRIBLE, in
fact, we got a malware virus from using it. The motel must have been (in its
day) a very very nice motel, maybe owned under some other company. We both
feared of a fire for there were lights blinking and kind of sparking pic below
in the halls. It is an old motel and under management now, appears to not being
improved upon. It does have off street protected parking and a huge room for
breakfast, and the breakfast was very nice, very nice. The gentleman at the
counter acted perturbed when we would ask him for help or a question, not very
nice, looked to be Middle Eastern type person. It was a very bad experience,
kind of like a BATES MOTEL. The people next door were smoking and it filtered
into our room. The walls are thin, so you don't want to say or do something that
might be overheard. The wifi as others have said, was on again and off again.

The rooms were clean and quiet. The wifi didn't work for most of our stay. The
hotel is in a good location with plenty of restaurants nearby. We stayed in
March and April on separate visits. In March we stayed for 4 nights and our room
was cleaned the whole time. The cleaner would call at 10 am and ask if we wanted
our room cleaned. We would tell her to come back a little later and she said
that she couldn't as she was leaving. The hotel is a little run down but the
rooms are nice.Super 8 Vancouver Reviews

For starters, the wifi here is horrible. The connection kept going down, the
signal was nil in some parts of my room, it could slow to a crawl, and it didn't
even work on my last day there. However, what I really need to warn about here
is that the third night there, I woke up coughing from cigarette smoke or
something coming from my bathroom vent. I changed rooms the next day and it
seemed to go away. Also, the water seems to have black specks in it (handyman
websites seem to suggest sediment buildup or something). If you value your
health, you don't stay here. I'm also going to be in touch with public health
about this. I really wish in retrospect that I checked out reviews of this place
before I went.

I stayed at this hotel because I had a 14 hour layover in Vancouver before
leaving for overseas. This hotel has a courtesy phone in the airport to arrange
for the free shuttle service. The hotel rate was reasonable. This hotel let me
check in on my early arrival at 9 am. It also offers a complimentary breakfast.
I think the hotel needs some renovations and updating otherwise it served my
reason for staying there.

Evening clerk was unprofessional. We stood at the counter for a good 2 + minutes
waiting for him to acknowledge us as he continued a phone conversation with a
friend. Finally had to say "excuse me" in order to get any service. One good
thing was there is lots of hot water and good water pressure in the shower.
Hotel driver (to airport) very friendly and helpful and continental breakfast
was decent for the price. Could hear everything that the people in the next room
said and did! I did not like the idea of the rooms being joined by a secondary
door. Would probably try to find another hotel with shuttle service next time.

Do not stay here I was covered in bed bugs after 1 night in this hotel. My bad
luck obviously but better housekeeping could have prevented it.

I stayed here a couple of times last spring. It's cheep, I'll give it that.
However, the front desk staff are totally indifferent and completely useless.
The rooms were OK and clean but the whole place is just tired. There is a funky,
poorly lit hallway (not accessible - stairs) that leads to the scruffy looking
parking garage.
Upon checking in, there was a women at the front desk with a complaint and she
was exasperated and asking to talk to the manager. (Bad sign number one.) I
could hear him on the phone with the front desk clerk in his office, just behind
the front desk. He was too chicken sh*t to come out and talk to her.
On my last, and very likely LAST, stay I was trying to get down from the 5th
floor to check out and both elevators stopped working. After waiting for 15 to
20 minutes I went back to my room and called the front desk. He said that one of
the elevators wasn't working but the other one was. I told him that I could tell
from listening that neither was working. "Oh, well I don't know what to tell
you." Really! That's your best response to a customer who is trapped in your
building?! I finally asked if I should just go down the stairs and set off the
fire alarms by doing so. He just said "I guess so..." Absolutely bloody useless!
I shudder to think of how they would handle a true emergency. Anyway, I went to
collect my bags and head down five floors of stairs. Just as I collected
everything up, the elevator door opened. I hesitated for a second then decided
to just go for it. Luckily, everything worked out OK.
The lobby looks like a 1980's disco. It's just missing some drag queens and a
mirror ball to at least make it camp. As it is, it's just tired like the rest of
the place.
I am not at all likely to stay there again. I gave them two tries and they were
just as bad both times.

Arrived a little early for check in and the receptionist was a bit blunt telling
us to wait over there until he had finished with the others waiting. After about
20 mins was checked in without any problem, the room was very good & clean and
the beds were comfortable. Was a little spooky in the corridor from the
underground garage to the reception area needed a lot of work to get it to the
standard of the rest of the hotel. For 1 night stay near the airport is ok and
would probably use it again.

I stayed at Super 8 Vancouver and booked it with mileages from continental
airlines 2,5 months before the date. I choose 1 bed (i travelled with spouse)
when I booked and got email booking confirmation the I will got 1 bed standard.
When I checked in at the hotel, However, The front desk gave us the double bed
and we gave the print out of email confirmation about the room type etc (that it
confirmed for the queen bed). He kept insisted that they only gave based on what
in the system. and they could not do anything about that. That is strange
because it never happened before in other hotels.
Also the wifi internet was terrible. It kept down especially when we connected
from our room.
And they don't have friendly front desks (but good clean room service staffs
though)

I had a problem with my reservation, and both the General Manager and one of the
front desk employees were extremely rude.
I couldn't finish describing my problem before they interrupted and talked over
me.
The General Manager said he would look into the problem and call me back, but he
never did, so I called back. Rather than addressing the problem or even telling
me what he had learned when looking into it, he hung up on me.
