We stayed here overnight before leaving on an Alaskan cruise. The hotel had
recently undergone an $11m renovation. It was beautifully and tastefully done.
It was a bonus to find out it was the number 2 hotel in the city, but not at
number 1&2 prices! The rooms were very comfortable and the bathroom was
exceptionally appointed. The staff could not do enough for you. The pride they
took in their establishment was evident by their customer service. The
complimentary full breakfast was good and more than you would expect for
complimentary. We lunched at the restaurant adjacent to the property (same
owners, I believe) and that was also excellent. The location was what made us
choose this hotel and we were not disappointed . Being there for such a short
time we needed a good location and it was very convenient for Gas Town, Harbor
Center and even a morning power walk to Stanley Park. If you are considering a
stay in Vancouver this is definitely the place for you.

We stayed a the St Regis fo three nights and two nights pre and post our Alaska
cruise, the bedrooms were excellent, comfortable, clean and attractive. The
staff were all friendly and helpful, the location of the hotel is ideal for
tourists. The only small complaint we had was traffic noise in our room at the
front of the hotel. We would be pleased to stay at this hotel again if when we
visit Vancouver.

After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor I chose the St. Regis-this is one
place you get a lot for your money. The rooms were upscale with lots of
amentities and the service by every staff member was exceptional. The location
is great especially for cruise goers.

My friend and I stayed in the St. Regis for one night prior to going on a cruise
-- seriously one of the most enjoyable stays in a hotel I've had! The most
comfortable bed and pillows, wonderful staff, free internet and breakfast, and
the location was incredibly convenient! We spent the evening after arrival in
Gastown, walking distance, and before boarding the ship decided we had plenty of
time to catch a bus (only a few blocks away) to Stanley Park where we walked
around for quite a while. I'm almost afraid to tell people about this place for
fear I won't be able to get in next time LOL -- thank you so much, St. Regis!

It was difficult to find a hotel close to Canada Place that was reasonably
priced and still maintained a high standard of presentation and amenities. We
were apprehensive before arriving at St Regis because the rates were so much
less than other hotels in the vicinity that we wondered what the standard would
be. How surprised we were when we saw our lovely, modern room with plenty of
space and so nicely decorated. As others have said, the staff go out of their
way to please. We were able to leave some of our luggage at the hotel while we
were on the cruise and we received a very warm greeting on our return. The
second room was just as pleasant as the first. We preferred to stay away from
the area to the east of the hotel where there are so many beggars on the
streets. The area to the west was great.

I would have said 4 1/2, but 5 is good too. I love how clean and modern this
hotel is. It's beautiful, the staff is SO great. Friendly, entertaining, and
accommodating. The only reason I would say less than five is because there is no
bathtub. I love bathtubs on vacation. They also have a complimentary
"continental" breakfast. "Continental" because they also give you the option of
bacon and eggs with potatoes! Free. And a wonderful server to boot. It's a
smaller hotel (boutique) and for awhile, we felt like we were the only guests
there. Does it get any better than that?

This is a nice, newly renovated hotel (still smells new) and they do things
quite well - not excellently yet but the spirit is there. The central location
is great. It's within a 10 or 15 min. walk to Gastown, the stadiums, Burrard
Inlet, all the shopping, Yaletown and it's only a little longer to walk to
Granville Island. The subway station is right next door, and all bus routes
(incl. to the airport) are close by.
The hotel rooms are very nice, though there are no doors between the bedroom and
living room in the suites. They amenities are excellent, the staff very friendly
and the housekeeping is very good. The breakfast lounge is great, the pub
attached is a typical pub, and the steakhouse is very good. I'd certainly return
when going to Vancouver. again.

We thought it was a great deal to stay at St. Regis for $140, however we found
out this St. Regis is not a part of the "real" St. Regis. I knew it was too good
to be true. In the end though, it was a wonderful stay with very nice rooms,
good breakfast and friendly service. We would definitely stay there again.
Parking is a little inconvenient, since it is a block away, and they charge you
$25 for it. Overall we really like it, the renovation is very well done.

Great hotel, friendly staff, amazing breakfast. Have to say that the custom
breakfast (any type of eggs, bacon/ham/sausage, potatoes) was the best part.
Only complaint that my room was freezing no matter how high I turned the
thermostat.

We visited the St. Regis last month and really enjoyed our stay. Our room was
beautifully decorated and the bathroom is gorgeous with a huge shower. What was
exceptional though, was the friendliness of all of the St. Regis staff. The
hotel manager left a hand-written, personal note in our room and always took the
time to give us advice on where to go and what to do. Everyone we ever spoke to
the hotel was extra nice and polite. We really recommend this hotel, it's
absolutely fantastic, great value and perfectly located. Thank you to all of the
St. Regis staff for making our stay so amazing.

The location is almost perfect--about three blocks from Robson, a great shopping
location in Downtown Vancouver. Right next to Hudson Bay, Canada's oldest
department store. The only problem is that you need to park on the street in
order to pick up the parking key, and the parking isn't clearly marked, which in
Downtown Vancouver leads to complicated driving.
The staff was friendly and accommodating, especially the breakfast staff. The
eggs and potatoes at breakfast were excellent!
We had a small room, but it was very clean with a good size bathroom which was
well-lit with a nice shower and lots of counter space. There were even
chocolates on the pillows...
Overall, the rate was excellent for a hotel with a great location, staff, and
food.

We stayed one night at this hotel. A friend who lived in the area said the area
can get a little "sketchy" a few blocks away, but we found it perfectly safe.
The decor and extra touches in the room, like complimentary bottled water and a
hand written note from the manager, were exceptional. If it were a chain (and
maybe it is, I haven't looked into it yet) I would seek out a St. Regis Hotel on
my next vacation. My travel companions likened it to a lower-priced "W".
The Hotel has been undergoing major
renovations and is now open
Situated on the corner of Dunsmuir and Seymour Streets, the St. Regis is well
located within walking distance of Downtown, Yaletown & Gastown. The hotel is in
a heritage building very close to Robson Street and all the other central parts
of the city.
