Guest Review of the Wedgewood Hotel Vancouver

Drinks and a unique choice of free canapés near the fireplace in the
Wedgewood's Bacchus Lounge revived and enlivened us after a grueling
travel day--Large 'French' windows open from Bacchus to the street
opposite the Vancouver Art Gallery, great people watching. We stayed at
this hotel May 12 & 13 2011, walked everywhere, returned to cookies and
chocolates. Do not miss breakfast at Bacchus--incredible pastry, fruit,
coffee -- delightful waitress who seemed to know many of the
guests--returnees? Our room was definitely spacious, comfortable, with
windows that opened to a tiny garden (I think there was a tiny balcony
also). Some street noise in the morning came through open window, and
room was overall darker than our room the next weekend at the nearby
Hyatt, but overall lived up to its 5-star billing.

Very clean, well-appointed and comfortable guest rooms; superb staff.
Nothing I could think of to improve upon.

My husband and I visited Vancouver to celebrate our anniversary and
stayed at the Wedgewood, the hotel was beautiful I loved the room it was
absolutely gorgeous. The staff was very helpful, we got great tips on
local restaurants. The bar was amazing. We can't wait to return.

From the doormen to checkout we couldn't have asked for a better
experience. The concierge, the housekeeping, the room
facilities.....everything was perfect. What a friendly staff. We have
travelled to many countries and within the United States, and we can
honestly say that the Wedgewood tops our list of favorite places to
stay. It is obvious that this hotel is well managed as reflected in all
the employees.

We have been staying at the Wedgewood for over 20 years. We live in the
area and when we want a "mini-vacation", we stay at the Wedgewood, be it
for a Christmas shopping overnight or for an overnight to see a concert
or show.
There really is nothing to say except it is the best. They have seasonal
specials during the slow times, so you might want to take advantage of
these specials for your own local "mini-vacation".
Love this place.
Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking Robson Square. |
