Guest Review of the Renaissance Vancouver Hotel Harbourside

We stayed for one night before we left on our cruise tour to Alaska. The hotel
was beautiful with great views of the harbor. It is located in close to several
nice restaurants. We ate on the waterfront and watched the seaplanes come in. We
had a huge king bed which was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this
hotel.

We stayed here 2 nights at end of our tour prior to cruise. It is very close to
the cruise terminal but not otherwise particularly convenient to tourist
attractions or restaurants. It was okay but nothing spectacular certainly think
you could do better. Our room was missing a fridge which was supplied on request
although it didn't fit the space. As it was on wheels seems this is a common
occurrence, others in our group had similar problems missing fridge. kettle etc.
not all were rectified. If you need more than the miserly drop of milk provided
for your tea/coffee provided go down the block to the convenience store don't as
one of our group did ask for extra from front desk. $12 + room service charge
for a glass of milk! This would be provided free of charge in the cheapest
budget hotel in Australia. Obvious this hotel caters more to the business
traveler than to tourist trade trendy furniture but not particularly
comfortable.

From our early morning arrival, with our room ready the restaurant and things to
do the staff was most helpful

Even thought the main structure is not the newest, the main areas and the rooms
are nicely renovated; providing plenty of comfort and everything else you'd
expect from this category of hotels. Some of the rooms offer a nice view over
the Harbour, including an interesting view of the seaplane airport operation.
Convenient location, halfway between Stanley Park and the city center, almost
everything is at walking distance. Very polite and helpful staff.
I had a very pleasant stay and i'm looking forward to go back, however, i have
to mention a couple of minor remarks: from inside the room, i found the
elevators a bit noisy when rumbling up and down, the old air-conditioning pack
in the room is definitely too noisy and the Internet rated excessively
expensive.
Room Tip: The room on the Harbour side have a nice view and are quieter.

The hotel is in a great location just a couple of minutes walk from the
convention center, and its harbor view rooms look out across the Harbour. Our
interconnecting rooms were spacious, and the beds were really comfortable. We
had a very pleasant dinner one night in the hotel restaurant, and enjoyed the
breakfast buffet and coffee machine in the Club lounge. The staff were all
friendly and helpful, and we got some great sightseeing advice from the
concierge, Alex. Will definitely stay here again!
