We stayed here for one night after our cruise. This hotel was lovely and
an easy walk from the ship to the check-in desk. We left our bags with
the bell captain and they were delivered to our room when it was
available, shortly after lunch. We walked everywhere, be sure to visit
Stanley Park. The pool was on the small side with very little seating
area,
but the view is great. Very easy walk to the sky train to the
airport-ask the bellman to point you in the right direction. I would not
hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed here for 3 nights as the start to our Canadian Rockies trip
for our silver wedding anniversary. We arrived dishevelled and tired
after a very long flight to be met at reception by a very helpful staff
member who made checking in so easy. Because we're Brits we needed a cup
of tea straight away but no kettle when we got to the room, within
minutes of asking one was bought up with extra teabags. The hotel is
stunning so elegant and peaceful considering how large it is. The
service is fantastic, very friendly and nothing is to much trouble.
Buffet breakfast was brilliant and the views from the breakfast room and
patio mean you hang out breakfast as long as possible!, which again is
no problem for the staff they make no attempt to get you to hurry up.
The room was lovely with a huge bed.It was a fantastic start to what was
a great trip. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

We stayed here for 3 nights before an Alaskan cruise. The rooms are very
nice and the staff was super. We upgraded to a "corner" room with a
water view. It gave us a lot more space than a standard (which my
in-laws had) including a couch my son slept on, a nice size bathroom,
and a walk-in closet (that was handy for storing a stroller).
Only complaint-one of the concierge recommended a Chinese restaurant
called Floata. It was one of the worst meals EVER. We paid our $150 bill
but could not stomach any of it.
Also, wish the hotel offered a wifi package that could be used on
multiple devices. We bought the week of wifi but could only use it on my
husband's phone. Wish we could have used our iPad and laptop, too.

We had originally booked a city view room but when we checked in we were
asked if we would like to upgrade to a waterfront room. We did and were
so glad because we had spectacular waterfront views of the bay with
boats sailing by and also the mountains beyond. We even saw our cruise
ship leave from the dock on its next voyage. And since we were there
July 1st, Canada Day, we even enjoyed the fireworks right from the
comfort of our room.
The room was immaculate and spacious. The king size bed was very
comfortable and the linens were luxurious. The bathroom was good sized
with all the amenities and also immaculate. All the staff including
check-in, concierge, housekeeping and security were friendly, efficient
and very helpful. We enjoyed afternoon cocktails on their outdoor patio
which also overlooks the bay and we had an excellent dinner at their
Five Sails Restaurant. Our dining experience that night was one of the
best we had throughout our two week vacation.
We came to the Pan Pacific directly from our Alaskan cruise and it could
not have been any easier to get there. It is located in Canada Place
which is the pier where the ship docks. Once you pick up your luggage
from the ship, you go out the door, across the walkway and into the
hotel. I would recommend this hotel for just that alone but am happy to
recommend it for all the above mentioned reasons too. Guest Review of the Pan Pacific Hotel Vancouver

Just spent 5 days here and the hotel by far had the best views of the
water and was adjacent to Gastown. Staff was wonderful. If you are
staying in Vancouver this is the the hotel to be in without question.
Would stay in this hotel again if only it was not in Vancouver. This
city does indeed have beautiful views and side trips to Victoria to see
Butchart Gardens) are worthwhile as well as doing the whale watching
from Vancouver (thru Wild Whales) and seeing the Capilano Suspension
Bridge and zipling at Grouse Mountain.. But be aware that this city is
overrun with the homeless and the police make zero effort to move them.
They are everywhere. You simply cannot walk a block with out being
approached by at least 3 of them and some are not happy at all when you
walk by without giving them something. We have never seen anything
approaching this problem in North America and it ruined our trip. A
local resident told us that other municipalities in Canada actually bus
them here as the weather is more pleasant year round and that way they
don't die off during the winters. The city is like a checkerboard, one
street is safe and pleasant and the next one is sparsely occupied but
one thing is consistent.... you will be approached by the homeless
regardless of where you are and that is a real problem and makes the
whole area feel unsafe. |
