Guest Review of the Loden Hotel Vancouver
August 1, 2011
Chose this Hotel after a good long look at the reviews. They
seemed genuine and promised a good stay. We were not
disappointed - somewhat quirky but a really nice Hotel to stay.
We were there for 8 days and enjoyed the service and support
from the staff. No request was too hard - even if not always
possible. They even managed to spring a coffee machine for us -
much to the delight of my wife.
It was the little things that made this stay just that little
bit better - the bikes, evening turn-down service, and the
effort from staff to simply say hello and be welcoming without
being pushy or mechanical in responses.
In a week you see the good and the bad in any hotel - there was
hardly any bad to see at the Loden while we were there - just
all good. We will be back to Vancouver in future years, and we
would be willing to stay there again. - it deserves it high
ratings

We had 5 wonderful days at the Loden Hotel. I can't imagine what
more they could have done to make our stay more pleasant. From
the reception we received until our final check out everyone
made our stay perfect. Great bar and restaurant, too. The London
Taxi they provide is a nice added touch. Really, this is a top
notch hotel.

We just loved this quiet little hotel in a great location
downtown, within walking distance to shopping, Stanley Park and
the Convention Centre. The attached bistro, Tableau, was sooo
good we ate dinner on the patio all three nights of our stay and
continued to enjoy each night. The only little negative thing we
have to say is that the gulls nesting on a nearby building
prevented us from keeping our window open at night!

My husband and I (50s) just returned from a 6 day trip to
Vancouver. We are so happy that our base camp was the Loden
Hotel. It was perfect! Great, quiet location, close to the
waterfront. The seaplane terminal was right there (we took a
seaplane to Victoria for the day), rode bikes around Stanley
Park, (the hotel has bikes available), great starting point for
our one day trip to Whistler ( we rented a car from Enterprise)
and a convenient location to walk the city. (Gastown, Yaletown,
Granville Island...all doable).
Most importantly, I would like to thank Sarah, our fabulous
concierge who suggested some fabulous places to dine and always
suggested great things to do. Our trip would not have been so
wonderful if it weren't for her guidance!!!
Being NYC foodies, we were looking for some fun and local places
to eat. Some restaurant suggestions include: Cafe Medina
(breakfast), Meat and Bread (lunch)
RainCity Grill (Dinner), Go Fish (lunch), Noodle Box. Ask the
locals, they are more then willing to share their dining
favorites.
The people of Vancouver are friendly, approachable and eager to
answer your questions.
It is the perfect place to visit. Explore all the different
areas that the region has to offer.
Don't forget Victoria for the day...the Butchart Gardens are
amazing!!!!
The car rideon the Sea to Sky Hightway to Whistler is
breathtaking. Shannon Falls, Brandywine Falls, the Peak2Peak
gondola ride...shouldn't be missed!!!
Even the flights on Air Canada were enjoyable. I'm ready to
move!
