This
Hyatt hotel was great for business travel and would be equally appealing
for personal trips. The room was spacious and well equipped. The staff
were friendly and knowledgeable regarding restaurants, etc. While my
room was not ready when I arrived, the front desk personnel were
apologetic and offered to call me as soon as it was available, and, if
fact, did call within a short time. The restaurant was good for
breakfast, though just ok at dinner, . However, there is so much in the
area that visitors should be encouraged to venture out for a meal
outside of the hotel. The spa that is attached to the hotel is great -
do try to sneak away for a treatment of some sort.

I stayed in this hotel for six nights. My room was clean, comfortable,
spacious, and well appointed. The bed was particularly comfortable and
had very new bedding on it. The room contained a small refrigerator that
was handy (and not stocked with over-priced treats), and a nice work
desk with both wired and wireless internet connections (extra charge to
use). I had an excellent city view from the 23rd floor. I ate breakfast
in the 2nd floor Mosaic restaurant each day, and that was quite good,
though a pricey alternative if it had not been included in my room rate.
(For cheaper options, there is a McDonald's and a nice Tim Hortons
immediately next to the hotel entrance and Starbucks nearby.) The hotel
is well positioned near several of the downtown shopping centers (e.g.
Royal Centre and Pacific Centre Mall), Robson Street shopping and many
restaurants, the Vancouver Art Gallery, and some good restaurants on
Burrard and Thurlow Streets (e.g. Kamei Royal, Joe Fortes, The Keg). The
hotel is directly next door to the Burrard Skytrain station and a short
walk to the Vancouver City Centre station, which collectively connect to
much of Vancouver and the YVR airport; the trains are easy to navigate
and a much cheaper way to get to and from the airport than a taxi or
rented car. (Vancouver parking can be expensive, and I would not
recommend renting a car unless you plan a side trip to beautiful
Victoria or Whistler.) It is a short walk from the hotel to the harbor.
If you are interested in bicycling in Stanley Park, which I'd highly
recommend, it is a bit longer walk (~0.8 miles) down West Georgia or
Robson Streets to the many bicycle rentals on Denman Street. Vancouver
is a beautiful city, and the Hyatt is well-located to take advantage of
the many things to do there.

Stayed at the Hyatt overnight, checked in at 8 am. (not expecting room
to be ready) and it was not. but went back after lunch and Bag and Room
were already set up. Thanks for a very nice comfortable room. Erin at
Front Desk was awesome.

I stayed here with my wife for a conference that I attended. The bed was
very comfortable and the location was great. The staff are very
friendly, professional and accommodating. However, the Mosaic restaurant
was very expensive. It had the most expensive breakfast buffet I've seen
($26/person), and nothing special from other hotel buffet breakfasts.
Parking will also run you > $35/day. Also, for the price they are
charging, the rooms are no different from a good Hampton Inn.
Be careful of the handicap room, the water from the shower can get
everywhere in the bathroom.
I would not stay here again, simply because of the high costs. However,
otherwise it is a great hotel.

Very friendly, courteous, helpful staff. We stayed on the club floor
(29) in a very comfortable well kept room with a nice view of the city.
This was standard Hyatt with respect to the artfully, stylishly designed
modern room. The bathroom had a rainfall shower in the ceiling - though
probably one of the smallest rainfall shower heads I have seen.
Nevertheless, bathroom and amenities were all quite nice. We took
advantage of the club lounge for drinks and breakfast (nice retreat with
very helpful staff). We had lunch at the Mosaic Bar and Grille on the
second floor. Food was very good with nice view of Burrard St. We took
advantage of the free wireless internet for our blackberry's emails
without incurring roaming data charges. Room Tip: Would recommend the
club floor with lounge access. Its a business hotel with bargain
week-end rates.
