This was an excellent value Hotel. We stayed here in July 2011
and it was a convenient location just next to Yaletown. It is
walking distance to Gastown and Stanley Park, which we really
enjoyed. There were a few drug addicts wandering around this
part of town, but we didn't feel unsafe. The free breakfast was
quite good too. I would recommend it.

Staying two nights here in Vancouver and have two children (5
and 7). The suite we are in is HUGE with kitchen and a great
games and fitness centre. There is a coin operated laundry which
is super clean and cheap $1.50 per wash. Location is great a
close to the sky rail( 2 blocks) and we had its of bags to carry
so it really was a easy walk.
Highly recommend this accommodation.

I booked two rooms and travelled with friends from Seattle for a
one night break in Vancouver. The weather wasn't kind but the
hotel more than made up for it and I was really delighted with
our choice. I have stayed in countless Hamptons throughout the
USA and this was easily the finest.
On arrival we were upgraded to a king suite and the room was
huge, clean and very comfortable. Great location right near the
main shopping street, great selection of food and indoor
stadium.
We used the the games room to play table tennis, fussball and
the hot tub and the view from the open terrace was great.
Breakfast was the usual fare but the staff were very cheery and
when they heard that one of our young children had a birthday
then they came back with a teddy bear for him. Its little points
like that which make an impression......well done Vancouver
Hampton !!

Arrived at the hotel, and was checked in fairly fast by Front
Desk. I arrived to find an awkward, disturbing sight in the
jetted tub. Four small pubic hairs remained from the last
guests. I bought a frozen ice-cream pie from the Keg for a
birthday and put it in the freezer. Unfortunately the hotel had
a scheduled power outage from 11:30 AM until 4 PM on December
6th for maintenance, but this was not indicated on the website
when booking the room for the hotel. If it was, I would have
either selected a different hotel, or selected different dates
to avoid the inconvenience. That meant TV and Internet and other
non-essentials would not be available, and that made for a
melted ice-cream birthday cake. The coffee makers are so small,
and a larger one would be nice. The chocolates they give upon
arrival are a nice touch but they used Lindt this time, and the
ones they used before I actually like better, but I don't know
the brand name.
All in all, this place is usually a good hotel to stay in. It
provides a free hot breakfast, but it could use an upgrade, and
I wish it would stay open longer than 10 AM. It has free
Internet and coin laundry costing $1.50 each for washer and
dryer. I would say this hotel is a pretty good place to stay,
but this last time was disappointing.

I've stayed hear several times over the past 2 years and the
service, cleanliness and downtown hotel value are excellent. The
location is fantastic especially if you are going to a sporting
event as well as using the hotel as a base for doing business in
the greater Vancouver area (in addition to downtown). One tip;
the underground parking is a bonus as long as you don't drive a
very large vehicle like a Suburban or similar. Underground
parking spaces are a little tight. So if your renting a vehicle
during your trip, make sure it is mid-sized.
