A beautiful grand hotel in a prime location in downtown Vancouver. We
stayed on the Gold Floor which includes a private lounge, breakfast,
canapes in the evening and more. Everything served was delicious.
Service was very good on all levels. The room was nice but the bathroom
for this level could be a little bigger and a bit more updated. Overall
the room was nice and the bed was comfortable. Not an inexpensive hotel
but no Fairmont is. We would and will likely stay again.

Awesome city. Lot's to check out there. Great eats, entertainment and
beautiful sites surround this city. The Fairmont was indeed well
appointed and right downtown near all the action. Vancouver is a very
large city which surprised me.

you really can't beat the location. Staff were extremely helpful.
Concierge in particular went out of her way. But guests in the next room
had brought two dogs which were left alone and barked, and barked both
thru the afternoon and evening. Hotel staff did respond and quiet the
dogs. But given we heard when the guests returned (at 1 am) with loud
conversations, i do think there may also be some issue with
soundproofing of the rooms. One rough night but overall a very nice
hotel.

A week-long business trip to Vancouver had me stay at the Fairmont Hotel
Vancouver, located right downtown in the heart of the city. Check-in was
very quick and easy, and I was in the room within just a few minutes of
arriving.
The room, with a wonderful west view, was larger than expected. I
appreciated the very fast wireless internet and the extremely
comfortable king bed, with Egyptian cotton bedding. The bathroom
appeared to have been recently renovated, for it was absolutely, utterly
spotless, with what appeared to be all-new fixtures and a new granite
counter. Towels were abundant and very plush. Turn-down service each
night came as an unexpected surprise.
A number of Fairmont properties have dogs on site, serving as hotel
ambassadors, and this includes the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. Although I
did not take advantage of the opportunity to take Beau (a very sweet and
friendly yellow lab) out for walks, I did enjoy being greeted by her on
many afternoons. What a wonderful touch.
The Hotel Vancouver is a very large, turn-of-the-century building and (I
believe) a former CP Rail hotel. It looks completely grand and majestic
from the street, yet feels new and fresh inside. It is an extremely well
maintained property, and the staff excellent.
This was not my first stay at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, nor will it
be my last. Great hotel that could not be better located.
Room Tip: Rooms located on the north side of the building offer the best
view of the mountains. Request a high floor.

A great hotel that's not afraid to charge. Pricey but very nice. The
best location in the city. |
