Up-graded to one bedroom suite without asking, on check-in. No heat at
first, but house-keeping fixed problem right away. Cheerful desk clerk
arranged later check-out, to allow us to do some local shopping. Would
definitely stay there again.

I just returned from a stay at the Century Plaza. I chose it because the
location is great (it's very close to Robson St. shopping, and great
downtown neighbourhoods). I've stayed at other hotels nearby (Sandman
Suites) which I have been not impressed with so I decided to give the CP
a try. I also like a room with a kitchenette for a longer stay so this
was a logical choice. I booked on Expedia and got a good price which
included parking. Check in was quick but once I got to the room I found
that the curtains didn't close all the way (a good 6 inch gap), not good
for privacy or for keeping the room dark, so I asked the front desk to
switch me which they did no problem. The room itself had a sitting area
and small kitchenette with full fridge. The decor is fairly modern and
the bed was quite comfortable. Bathroom is good sized.
Overall the hotel is great, and the staff generally seems helpful and
mostly friendly. For a good location at a reasonable price I would
recommend this hotel.

We have stayed here before, great view and friendly staff. Rooms are bit
dated, bit comfortable. We asked for an upper floor and they obliged.
They have no gym on premises which I find odd for a downtown business
class hotel. They state that there are gyms close (YMCA). Everything is
close by, Robson Street, Stanley Park. Would recommend this hotel for a
one to two night stay.

I stayed here for one weekend while I was at a Conference at the
Beautiful new convention center addition. The staff here were always
friendly and helpful including the cleaning ladies. I felt very
comfortable at all times.
Room Tip: Room 1510 is a corner spacious suite with a king size bed. It
had an amazing view of the mountains and the city. There is a microwave,
sink and fridge in the room as well. You can buy groceries one block
away at the IGA Market place.

The central location of this hotel had advantages and disadvantages.
Centrally located, it was a good base for exploring the fantastic city
of Vancouver. Rooms were very spacious, with great views of the city at
night.
Staff in the restaurant were kind and courteous and the breakfasts were
a highlight. The bellhop could also not have been more helpful. In
contrast, we had to wait for our rooms to be cleaned, after the
appointed hour of arrival, despite explaining that we been had on the
move for 18 hours and my family was exhausted. |
