Guest Review of the Westin Grand Hotel Vancouver
August 29, 2011
My husband and I visited Vancouver for 3 days to attend his cousin's wedding.
This is the perfect hotel if you prefer to walk to some of Vancouver's main
attractions. We rented a bike from Spokes (corner of Denman and West Georgia)
and Biked around
Stanley Park .
The hotel itself is smaller than its sister hotel,
Westin Bayshore
but what it lacks in size, it makes up for with its central location. The buffet
breakfast is good [lives up to the Westin standard]. We would return to
Westin Grand should we find ourselves in the beautiful city of
Vancouver again!

This location was great. Once we parked the car we didn't see it till we checked
out.
This Trip to Vancouver was our "unofficial" honeymoon, as we wanted to do Europe
but were unable to go till Sept, so we decide to a short get away to Vancouver
for a week.
At the Westin we got a mountain view junior suite, the room included a sitting
area and a separate room. It also included fridge/microwave/dishwasher/bar sink
all nicely hidden away. The room was fairly large. The only thing was there
wasn't much of a mountain view. You could see the mountain behind a bunch of
buildings but that's about it. Besides that the room was clean and looked fairly
up to date.
The service at ths hotel is honestly the best I have seen during our travels.
The service that stands out the most was from Lisa the head concierge. She went
way above and beyond our expectations. This was our first time in Vancouver, so
we were not to sure on a few things. She gave us tips on where to go when to go,
where to go for drinks where to go eat. Helped us plan our route and stay in
Whistler. And while we were in Whistler we
even called her to book a trip to Victoria BC,
she arranged our trip and had us pick up from our hotel even though it was not a
Westin. (it was unfortunately that the Westin was all booked for our final
weekend in Vancouver)
And lastly we were pleasantly surprised to come back from dinner on our first
night in Vancouver to some goodies and a wonderful card in our room. Lisa and
the Staff at Westin thanks for making our trip to Vancouver amazing. We loved it
and we'll be back.

We had a wonderful stay there the night of Aug 19th. We booked the deluxe suite
on the 31st floor and LOVED every moment of it! We had an issue with the vanity
mirror not lighting, and we told front desk and they assured us that it would be
fixed, and it wasn't. There were also fresh red wine spills on the carpet in the
living room (we could tell as they were wet from what we assume the housekeepers
sprayed stain remover on it) the view overlooking BC place, and the surrounding
area were breathtaking to say the least! The beds were super comfy and the
bathroom was amazing! (except the water pressure fluctuated when using both of
the shower heads). Great stay and would love to stay there again!!

We only stayed one night before departing for a cruise. The hotel was very nice.
The room was clean and the staff was very accommodating. The hotel is right in
the Downtown area near several restaurants and shopping. The hotel dining had
minimal options. I would definitely stay again.
