Stayed at this hotel as a RCI exchange, and was very disappointed. The
location is reasonably good for access to downtown. There are many
diverse food outlets nearby for less formal eating. "Rosies" the on site
restaurant tries to be a British pub, but fails. I do not like service
charges preloaded on my food bill !
The living accommodation was dark with hardly any natural light, the
bedroom at the front had a full wall of glass, so plenty of light!! The
floor of the kitchenette was in a very poor state, and I was able to cut
my foot on badly maintained floorboards.
There was no housekeeping all week, we had to take garbage down in the
lift from the 15th.floor, (nice for other guests). There was no change
of towels all week, despite being promised a new set by the reception
desk staff.

Stayed at the Rosedale on Robson several times, last time two days ago.
I stayed at an Aviawest timeshare unit but was looking for another
night. Found a very reasonable rate of C$ 129. It's at a very good
location, walking distance to shopping, sports events, concerts, shows.
Very clean hotel with a good service.

We checked in for 2 days Aug 20, 21 2011 for our wedding and had the
perfect hotel experience. It was very tough to find reasonably priced
rooms for block booking downtown. We actually started with the Georgian
Court but when we talked to the Rosedale they were $60.00 cheaper!
That's huge when your asking friends to spend money to come attend your
wedding. We booked with the Rosedale right away. They even honored our
block pricing with late comers. The hotel was exactly what we needed,
clean, professional, well managed and very friendly. The connected pub
is excellent as well. We discovered an extra treat on check in when we
found out they had put us in a honeymoon suite on the top floor - wine
and a HUGE fruit basket! Super nice of them as we weren't expecting
anything. The suite had a HUGE balcony on the roof with an amazing view.
The suite was perfect - nothing wrong or broken, great coffee maker
(huge for me as that's the first time I've ever enjoyed a morning coffee
in a any hotel room). Many thanks to Jody Spackman from the Rosedale for
taking awesome care of us!!! THANK YOU!!

Stayed in a one bedroom.
Positive:
Clean, quiet, close to BC place and Rogers arena. Good bed.
Negative:
small bathroom, too much furniture in room, 2 km away from shopping and
restaurant area of downtown Vancouver.

We only stayed for 2 nights in this vast hotel (275 rooms). We were on
the 14th floor and had a great view. The bed was very comfy. The
location is great and the staff are lovely. Didn't go much on the choice
of food in the restaurant though. We had a 1 bedroom suite with a small
kitchen and 2 televisions! Didn't get time to investigate the swimming
pool. |
