Loved this hotel. The staff couldn't have been more helpful.
Suggestion for the Coast Restaurant for dinner was the best. We
used the bikes and the location was perfect near everything
especially Stanley Park. Room was quiet and clean. Fitness
center was excellent with everything needed. Only compliant was
my massage which was an outside vendor who wanted to give me a
deep tissue when I wanted relaxation. Everything else was top
drawer.

We have stayed at the Loden only for one night. The welcome was
very warm and the corner room very nice. They recommended a
great restaurant for dinner - Coast - just around the corner.
The breakfast was ok, but if you look for great variation go
somewhere else.
As we had only some hours in the city they offered us free bikes
to go on a tour around Stanley Park which was awesome.
If I had not already booked the hotel for our 2nd Vancouver stay
a couple of days later I would have gone back to the Loden. The
price/performance ratio was perfect and far better than in many
5 star places we went.

Upon my arrival, which wasn't until 10pm or so, the desk person
remarked that the manager had "upgraded" me to a garden room. It
turns out that meant a bottom-floor room. GIven that I had
requested an upper floor, I'm not sure why that was an upgrade.
Of course, I arrived quite late, and so it is not surprising
that only the bottom floor was left. I would definitely suggest
trying to get an upper floor as the hotel backs up to a large
office building, and consequently I felt there was absolutely
zero privacy in my room, and did not open the curtains much.
On the other hand, the room decor was, in my opinion, excellent.
(The fact that a half-wall slides open to reveal the bathroom
might not be to some guests' liking.) The shower and toilet are
behind further glass doors. There was a lot of frosted glass and
dark wood, the latter in that mid-century modern style that is
popular. Although I'm not generally a fan of that style, the
overall feel of the room was quite nice. The room was also
fairly large.
The last night, while I was arranging a taxi, there were some
guests ahead of me who seemed to have a problem with a
nonexistent, or lost, reservation.
The desk arranged a very early morning taxi, which was a great
relief.

Stayed for a week at the Loden and was really happy with
everything. The rooms are great and the location is amazing. The
service is excellent too... the people are always smiling and
quick to help with anything you need. The only word of warning
is something I didn't realize - parking is extra and street
parking overnight doesn't seem like a viable option.

The Loden Hotel has an amazing staff that enhances the overall
experience of the hotel. The room that I stayed in was extremely
clean, modern and chic. I would definitely stay here again.
