We spent 7 days at the Listel on Robson St. for a conference + 2 days of
playing around Vancouver. Really nice hotel and very fairly priced.
Massive comfy beds, very clean, good facilities (gym was great).
The only thing we were surprised by was the additional charge that was
called the spa luxury fee or something like that... we had gotten a
really good deal online though, so it was still well worth it, and to be
fair, it was listed in the bottom of the original online booking.

I have stayed at the Listel Hotel several times - admittedly through
hotwire bookings where you get a discount, - but the hotel is pleasant,
reasonably priced, has nice art and is quiet. My only criticism is that
it is a little far from the train/transit system if you are going to be
using that. The hotel is at the end of the Robson St. shopping area,
away from the centre, so you get some walking in. If you have a car, it
would probably be better than other more central hotels just to stay out
of the thick of things.

This place was a great location and the staff was very helpful. They had
an awesome in- room recycling program. The tub was great and with Lush
just down the street a great option after a long day of walking. Yet I
was a little disappointed because the art was not as integrated as I
thought (basically just pictures on the wall), the bed was uncomfortable
and just not the level of luxury I thought it would be. Regardless it
was still a great location and would consider staying there again but
would not expect as much.

A girl's get-a-way to Vancouver is exactly what two moms from northern
Alberta need in the springtime! We spent four fantastic nights at The
Listel Hotel on Robson Street. The Listel Hotel is a beautiful art
gallery, boutique hotel. We were treated like royalty, right down to
having French press coffee delivered to our room at a time of our
choosing in the morning. What an elegant treat for two tired out moms
looking for some pampering! The Listel is an easy walk to English Bay,
Coal Harbor, and Stanley Park. We enjoyed the warm spring air and
beautiful blooming landscape while strolling around the harbor. We
explored Stanley Park on foot and also on pedal bike. One evening was
spent rockin' at The Center for Performing Arts with James Blunt live in
concert. Another evening was spent at the Orpheum Theater listening to
the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra perform with the talented Natalie
MacMaster. Both venues were also within walking distance from The
Listel. O'Doul's restaurant at the hotel served a perfect breakfast each
morning. There was never any problem finding a restaurant or coffee
house close by to revitalize ourselves. The Ciao Bella Restaurant on
Denman Street near the entrance to Stanley Park was a wonderful choice
for a Tuesday afternoon. The people of Vancouver were friendly and
accommodating! One tip for future visitors: Pay attention to the parking
rules!! Rush hour parking is tricky! The cab driver who took us to pick
up our towed vehicle from the city impound did a great job of
entertaining us and keeping us laughing. No matter what your budget,
style or taste is for entertainment, food, and shopping, the city of
Vancouver will definitely provide a satisfying get-a-way destination!

I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights during a recent business trip to
Vancouver. The location is great. Lots of good eating places and
shopping right on the doorstep. As a lone woman traveler, I felt totally
comfortable, and was able to walk out in the evenings without any
problems. This is a good area. The room was spacious and clean. Had
everything I needed. Pretty good coffee maker in the room too! The bar
downstairs is also nice and relaxed. No problem to sit in there with a
drink on your own. Food in the restaurant is also good, although
expensive by my standards. But you have lots of cheaper alternatives
close by. Great Asian food place just opposite. Huge portions! Final
note: would definitely return here. A great base from which to cover
downtown Vancouver on foot.
