Guest Review of the L'Hermitage Hotel Vancouver

This is the second year that I have stayed at this Hotel for my
husband’s birthday. The staff makes his experience so special and keeps
us coming back. If I could recommend this hotel to everyone I would! You
will not be disappointed with any part of this Hotel. L'Hermitage
provides an experience of a 6 star hotel and made us feel like royalty.
The room as stunning, the service is amazing and the atmosphere is
modern and chic. You are in the best location located in the heart of
downtown with Yaletown being right next door, as well as a short walk to
the aqua bus to Grandville Island. This Boutique Hotel is a must to stay
at if you want an extraordinary Vancouver experience. Enjoy!

For special occasions, or for when my wife and I want to indulge in a
weekend with a show, dinner, and relaxation, we will pick a nice hotel
and plan a weekend.
For Valentine's this year my wife wanted to stay at L'Hermitage. We
found L'Hermitage to be an exquisite boutique luxury hotel. There are
equally excellent luxury hotels in Vancouver, such as the Shanghai. But
what is nice about L'Hermitage is that the service is a little more
personable because of its size. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay.
It might not seem that significant, but I was impressed that the hotel
designed its suites with everyone in mind, and I mean those with
disabilities. All doors, including the bathroom, were wide enough for
wheel chairs, and the bathroom with ample space for wheel chairs to move
around. That means to me that all guests are well consider and
accommodated for.
The other thing I found was there was the service was a bit more
personable. When I had booked our stay I ordered a few things for our
room. After registering, when we arrived at our room a staff member was
there waiting to bring our requests in, and politely asked for
permission to place them in our room. Nice touch.
L'Hermitage is in a great location as well, close to restaurants,
theatres, Roger's Arena, and BC Place.
One very, very, minor point I would advise the hotel about for the
smaller boutique rooms is about the kettle you provide for boiling
water, such as for tea. In the boutique rooms, at least, you need to
find a plug in. There was none obvious on the furniture piece with the
fridge and T.V. We had to use another outlet with the kettle on the
floor.
We will be back.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 days, starting at Christmas. We had a full
bedroom, office, living room with fireplace, full kitchen and two
bathrooms. This hotel is perfect for singles, couples or families! It
has all of the luxury furnishings, rainfall shower heads and high-end
kitchen appliances. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. When
we needed a baking sheet while preparing Christmas dinner, the hotel
staff dropped it off at our door. We also arrived before our room was
ready so the staff placed all of our groceries in the room fridge. The
room also includes a washer/dryer and balcony. All of this is
approximately the same price as staying at a 5 star hotel in Van. We
travel to Van multiple times per year, and we will never stay at another
hotel again. We don't have enough good things to say about this hotel.

The staff was over the top helpful in planning my evening for my husband
and myself. It was a special occasion and they made everything perfect.
Our room was beautiful, if I had to say anything on the negative it
would be that I would have liked more counter space in the bathroom, but
since we were only there one night it was no big deal. I was completely
blown away by the full kitchen, sub zero fridge and gas cook top. We
will be returning only next time we plan to stay in the room and cook! I
gave sleep quality a very good and not excellent because of the air
circulation, but then in the morning we realized we did not have the fan
running so I'm sure that would have made a difference. Also you can ask
for different types of pillows which I really like.
