We stayed here for 2 nights. We had great friendly service at the front desk
when we arrived. We were given a courtyard room. The walk to the courtyard was a
bit sketchy. You walk through a door at the back of the tower and you walk
across the alleyway to the courtyard building. The courtyard building is very
safe. It is surrounded by a locked gate. You get through the locked gate with
your room key. Then to get into the building there is another locked door. Our
room was very clean and comfy. The courtyard room walls were a bit thin, I could
hear some people in the next room sometimes. We could barely hear any street
noise at all. I was quite surprised how quiet our room was because Granville
Street is quite loud at night with all the bars, etc. Parking was about $14.00
per night. I would definitely stay here again. There is tons of shopping and
restaurants along Granville Street.

Hotel is clean and located in the heart of the Granville entertainment area.
Staff was attentive. We had a suite and found it to be roomy and comfortable.
Hotel needs to clarify its amenities as some things that are implied as being
available just are not, such as guest laundry and free breakfast. Other than
that i would recommend the hotel. Fridge and microwave would be nice additions
to the room.
Room Tip: Go for the suite, has two rooms with balcony.

We stayed here for two nights before getting on a cruise ship bound for
Whittier.
The hotel's location is terrific. It's on the edge of the Yaletown section of
Vancouver, which is chock full of restaurants, brew pubs (Yaletown Brewery is
outstanding!) and shops. As others have mentioned, there is a sex shop very near
by, but little activity and was not disturbing to us in the least.
The hotel is huge, and so are the rooms. We were on the 9th floor and had a
small sitting area (including a desk), as well as a separate bedroom and a nice,
big bathroom. Everything was very clean. Towels are scratchy. The water pressure
is constant, but the temperature fluctuates some (understandable in a hotel this
big).
The downside to this hotel was the "free" breakfast, which included a drink
(juice OR coffee) and a muffin or toast. That was it. Fortunately, there are
some terrific eateries right near by. We would stay here again when we visit
Vancouver next.

I usually stay at this hotel when in Vancouver because it is just a block from
the office. The hotel is clean and when I arrived this time they gave me a room
on the 14th floor. I think it pays to be a member of Best Western and it is a
free membership. When I walked in the room I could not believe how big it was.
Big bar area, Boardroom Table and big bed. The bathroom was not huge but clean
throughout. The room also had a balcony and windows all the way across the front
wall.
The heat was fine, didn't have to adjust it.
I did not have time to check out the gym or swimming pool.
Internet. Very comfortable bed.
My friend who is a travel agent came to visit me and was impressed with the
room.
The area of Granville has some "interesting" ! shops around and clubs - again,
had no intention of using them.
Lots of places to eat on Davie, a block away. Good for transportation. About 6
blocks from the skytrain to the airport.
Small check in area. Front desk man was a little unfriendly. I pointed out to
him that my company was paying and he could not find the record and I had to
pay. Then I walked a block, got my company to make a reminder phone call and
went back to get my money! Annoying! However, the management handled it well.
Food in this restaurant is very, very good.
Little bit of a walk to Robson and a taxi ride or good walk to the waterfront. |
