Guest Review of the Wedgewood Hotel Vancouver
4 October 2011
Our first trip to Vancouver and we lucked out with the Wedgewood
recommendation. The room amenities are first class. The staff is
friendly and well informed. The location is great for seeing the city
and after a long day you feel at home once you come through the doors.
The restaurant is excellent. We highly recommend this hotel.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Wedgewood and it is a really
great hotel, the service was outstanding and extremely friendly, we ate
in the restaurant twice and the food was fabulous both times, The bar is
really vibrant pretty much any time, which gives it a really nice
atmosphere during dinner there is a piano player that adds to the
ambiance. I can definitely recommend this hotel.
Just be aware it really is not cheap so you must be prepared for the
price, even though it is expensive, if I ever return to Vancouver I will
definitely stay at the Wedgwood again. Also the hotel staff are all
young however the guests generally seem to be a little older.

We stayed here for 11 nights and were impressed by the standards of the
hotel and the attention to detail of the staff, especially housekeeping.
It is quite a small hotel, which made it more personal, and the location
means that everything is within easy reach. Would definitely stay here
again.

We recently stayed at the Wedgewood for four nights while visiting
Vancouver. It's a wonderful and quiet place to come home to after a long
day of hiking and sightseeing. A little bit older and more sedate than
the larger hotels but that is part of its charm. The staff is very
helpful and accommodating. A suggestion - if you are thinking of going
to Whistler for the day, Avis is only one block away and it is an easy
drive. They open at 7:00am and have late night drop off arrangements.
You can stay at the Wedgewood and still have a full day in Whistler
without changing hotels. Special rates are sometimes available for the
Wedgewood and, if you can find one, you can stay in a nice luxury
boutique hotel for about the same price or only a little more than the
mass market ones the cruise lines use.

We stayed for two nights at the Wedgewood and found it delightful. Our
room, 8th floor, was large and handsomely furnished and equipped. The
staff was friendly and efficient. A fine continental breakfast was
provided each morning. Our meals at the in-house lounge/restaurant - the
Bacchus-- - were excellent.
We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vancouver and looking
for a special place to spend some time enjoying. |
