booked online for one night had a wonderful stay at the hotel that is
until check out time they felt a need to point out several times the
rate I got was extremely low for that time of year at first it made me
feel good that I got a great deal but the fact that this was
pointed out to me several times made it sound like I was somehow ripping
them off and one point the woman doing the check out said I would never
get that price again ! well thank you Ramada for turning on your
customer .I booked on your website it gave me the price so dont treat me
like a criminal .

Stayed here for 2 nights w/my BF & it was great from the outset: I'm an
Entertainment Card user so was able to book @ 20% off w/no-fee/penalty
cancellation, mentioned we were repeat customers & requested a room on
the top floor, facing away from the street.
Check-in was a breeze & we were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves
in a room w/a gorgeous, unobstructed NE view through 2 windows (which
opened)! The bed was super comfy w/4 fluffy pillows & the bathroom has a
shower-over-tub w/nice toiletries & a curved curtain rod so no icky
curtain sticking to you as you shower/bathe! Also, the water was quick
to heat, there were several nozzle settings & the water pressure was
very good + consistent. The in-room wifi was strong & didn't drop at
all.
The location is 2.5 blocks from Waterfront station, the terminus station
of the Canada Line Skytrain direct from YVR airport, which makes
arriving here very convenient. Also, several bus lines run right in
front of the hotel & many other lines run on adjacent streets. There's
literally no need for a car if you stay here, altho they do offer a
valet service & there's many parking lots nearby.
In the vicinity you'll find a plethora of banks, coffee shops,
convenience stores, Pacific Centre mall & an endless variety of food
offerings from $1 pizza to high end fine dining. This hotel is a gem for
its price & location alone!
One of the best things about our stay, however, was that the night
before checkout, as we had to leave @ 5:30am the next morning, we asked
the lady @ the front desk whether there might be a chance to get a
little breakfast pack to go as we would be leaving much earlier than the
breakfast room opened. She said she would look into it & get back to us.
A few minutes later, she rang our room to say she'd made up some
breakfasts for us. My BF went down to get them and it was absolutely
amazing! We were honestly expecting something simple like PB&J
sandwiches but in fact she'd packed us each a juice box, 2 types of
muffins (I got cranberry & blueberry, yum!), a savoury bagel w/butters &
cream cheese, apples & cutlery! This was definitely above & beyond
anything we'd expected.
My one niggle, and to be fair it's not the hotel's fault, is that one
night when it was quite warm & I had the window opened a crack, there
was some noise which carried up from the street of some people enjoying
the weekend. However, once the window was shut & curtains drawn there
wasn't an issue.
We'll definitely be back!

My 2nd stay back at this hotel.
The only thing I was disappointed with was, a few months back I
requested a certain room (the one which I had on previous visit),
however when I arrived, I was allocated another room with no windows -
this was the only problem I had with the room.
I was offered another room the next day but wanted to unpack that night
therefore not prepared to move.
I still was disappointed with the fact that my request could have been
adhered to seeing it was months ago.
Other than that, I would stay again.
As on other reviews, I do think air fresheners along the room corridors
are needed .....

Hands down, the best and most affordable hotel in Downtown Vancouver.
I've stayed 3 times, making it 4 in December. I literally, WONT stay
anywhere else. You can't find a more convenient hotel if you're staying
downtown, walking distance from anything and everything. With Waterfront
station a 5 minute walk away; you can literally, get, anywhere. The
staff were all amazing, loved the layout of the hotel. Rooms were always
nice, air conditioning always works. I work in the hotel industry, and I
definitely can say the service is better then you'll find almost
anywhere. I've recommended this place to anyone I know that has gone to
Vancouver, and I will continue to do so! |
