Great hotel in a beautiful location. If you want to experience one of
the most special parts of Vancouver, stay at the Granville Island Hotel.
You are right on the water and steps away from the public market. Highly
recommended!

I love the setting of this hotel. It is great to be on the "Island" and
able to visit all the great shops and the Market. The two water taxis
companies serving Granville Island make it very accessible to downtown
as well. If you want to walk/cycle - it doesn't get better the the
walking/cycling trails leading away from Granville Island. I had a room
with a partial view and it was very nice. The staff were very friendly
as well. I didn't have any meals at the hotel so can't comment on that.
I didn't spend much time actually at the hotel so my interaction with
staff was limited as well.

Our stay was very satisfactory. The hotel is well situated. The service
was good. The rooms are somewhat small and quite expensive considering
the size. Food services are excellent. We stay at the hotel mainly
because we like to shop at Granville Island. We appreciated the
favorable room rate we got because of the course at Maiwa that my wife
was taking. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

You might not want to leave the "island" though. But if you do the foot
ferry fleet will zip you to the other side of False Creek. The only
negative aspect to our room was the size, for the money charged we did
expect it to be larger. Not much room to negotiate. The shower was
fabulous! Overall we had a wonderful two-night stay.

We stayed here for one night with our 2 young children. We had a van
pulling a tent trailer and they were very helpful finding us a spot to
park it. The hotel was beautifully renovated and you cannot go wrong
with the location right on Granville Island. It is wonderful. We found
our room to be quite cramped with 2 double beds and our balcony was so
full with 2 chairs and a table that you couldn't even sit there with
just 2 people so we had to take the plastic table into our room while we
sat out there. Other than the very small room and the cramped balcony we
can't complain about anything. We would stay again but probably wouldn't
bring our kids with us. Just didn't think there was much to do here with
young kids. |
