The small footprint of this boutique hotel gave it a very intimate feel, yet our
room felt spacious. A nice trick I'd say. The staff were professional and
accommodating. We stayed one night to celebrate on wedding anniversary and
purchased our stay through groupon but never felt that we were second class
guests. We were surprised to find two small bottles of red wine and a small box
of chocolates on the table along with a card congratulating us on our
anniversary. The bathroom was ample and included an extra large shower. As a
teadrinker, I was really pleased to find an actual kettle in the room as well as
the ubiquitous coffee maker. We did have to request bathrobes but they were
complimentary. We opted for turn down service while we went for dinner and found
lovely chocolate on the pillows as well. The decor was quite elegant but not
oppressively so. Unlike what we'd read in other reviews, there was no additional
charge for wireless Internet or valet parking.

When Groupon featured Hotel Le Soleil, I jumped at the chance to make a
reservation based on its existing reputation. From the reception to valet
bringing up our car, it was a pleasant, well cared for hotel to visit. Upgraded
to a corner suite, we enjoyed our corner suite, the uber comfortable bed, and
the little sitting room. I cannot fault them for anything; it was an excellent
hotel, especially considering the INSANE deal that we got through the Groupon.
Little touches like Aveda bathroom products, an ipod docking station, ample
closet space and a beautiful foyer all added to the experience.
Room Tip: Ask for a corner suite, and don't be afraid to empty out the
mini-fridge to stock your own wine & snacks!

I had to make an extended trip to Vancouver due to business. When choosing
hotels, I wanted to stay somewhere close to the office, affordable and
comfortable. Well, I got lucky because I found it all in this hotel!
The room overall was not big but it was big enough to have a small separate area
from the bedroom - it was like being in a small furnished apartment. Since it
was a longer stay, I asked that the small fridge be emptied so I use it for my
own things.
The staff was fantastic to deal with, they were so helpful in giving you
directions and maps to where I wanted to go. The location is absolutely perfect
to shopping, restaurants and transit (I do recommend walking! it's such a small
city that you get from place to place really quickly)
Lastly, don't forget to grab a green apple when you walk by the lobby, after
spending over a week there, I am now hooked on green apples!

We had one night between flights and trips in the region and stayed here in the
Le Soleil Hotel. The entrance is truly imposing and regal and the staff were on
hand to ensure a good check in. The valet took our rental car and ensured we
weren't given a ticket...good details. Our room was on the 8th floor with views
of downtown and was quiet and comfortable. I liked the division between the
bedroom and sitting room which gave a small room the feeling of much more space. |
