Guest Review of the Ramada Inn and Suites Vancouver

This hotel is very good value for money, located in the entertainment
district in downtown Vancouver. On arrival, the front manager, Nikki,
was super vibrant, positive, smilry, helpful and energetic. This set the
tone for my four days at the hotel.
The rooms are reasonable and I had requested a quiet room (having read
other reviews) and didnt have any noise issues. For the price, my room
was to a good standard, containing two double beds.
Others have commented about safety. I do not think this was a concern at
all. The area is bustling with lots of bars and clubs nearby (some good,
some rubbish!) but the issue of homeless people is a general issue in
Vancouver. It is something you get used to, and does not present a
threat, but clearly not well managed by the government. On the whole,
thank you!
Room Tip: If you are not partying, ask for a quiet room!

Stayed for 6 nights and although the rooms are slightly smaller than
what I am used to, the bedding was extremely comfortable, it had a
spacious bathroom with a good shower, and the free wifi worked really
well for the entire time. No need to log in or use any password as you
just click on the hotels wifi and it loads.
This is an older hotel which has been refurbished right in the heart of
all the buzz and life of central Vancouver. An easy walk to anything,
with a good supermarket (Safeway) not far away on Davie Street. The room
also had a flat screen 32 inch tv with a good selection of channels.
The hotel is very handy to public transport and a bus stop right outside
the hotel. We had a rental car for part of the stay with onsite parking
available at $15 per night. The parking metres in the area run from 9am
until 10pm and only cost $2 per hour with plenty of free parking spaces
after 7.00pm.
For the price paid, I would very much recommend this hotel for people
who would rather spend their money on enjoying their holiday, rather
than on costly hotel rooms which are only required as a base to sleep.
I found the staff very friendly and helpful, and the cleaning was to a
very good standard.

The Ramada Inn is a very good hotel in downtown Vancouver. It is located
near the commercial centre and is on walking distance from Canada place
and the harbour. There are more hotels in this part of the city. What
makes this hotel stand out is the quality of the rooms and the level of
service from employees and staff. Especially at the price you pay. You
get what you pay for. I was a single woman, for the first time
travelling on her own. They took time to make feel comfortable and they
even gave me an opportunity to rebook a non-refundable booking. And they
agreed to do that while they were actually overbooked. Now that is
service!

So if you want to stay in an hotel where the whole of the downtown area
is within walking distance and transit transport links are fantastic for
those venturing further afield, where the staff are friendly and go the
extra mile to be helpful, where the rooms are spotlessly clean and the
beds are extremely comfortable, where the entertainment district is
within 5 minutes walk, where the 'pub' next door serves good food and is
perfectly welcoming, then the Ramada on Granville Street is perfect. If
you want value for money right in the centre of town then this is the
hotel for you. This was my second stay at the Ramada Granville Street
and the quality of service, cleanliness and comfort were as high if not
better than my first visit here in 2010.
The rooms are perfect for those intent on making the most of the city
and have every amenity that a traveller can expect - including an
extremely comfortable bed, large flat screen tv, large bathrooms with a
great shower , plenty of drawer and wardrobe space, a free daily
newspaper, friendly and helpful housekeeping staff. For those travelling
without laptops or mobile access to the internet there is a
complimentary computer station for guests use - great for occasionally
checking into emails and on-line check in to homeward flight.
I'll be staying again on my next trip to Vancouver and I would recommend
this hotel to anybody who wants a comfortable, value for money,
unpretentious, place to stay. |
