I'll start with the positive...fantastic view of the city...great desk
staff...that's where it ends. This hotel could be fantastic and charge
so much more...but it is barely worth the overpriced price I paid...and
it was a medical discount. The hotel claims to be non-smoking...well it
hasn't been for long. As soon as I stepped onto the 5th floor I could
tell there had been smoker here lately...and it appears in MY room. Not
only a smoker...but a a very distinct urine smell. The laminate wood
floor in the entrant is separated...greasy smears on the armiour door
(if its not grease...I wasn't checking to see what it was), and
urine-like yellowness at the first...and second pour into the tub. The
beds are 'not bad' but with the street noise...it wouldn't matter how
great they were.

The rooms are okay, but if you are fortunate enough to have a room
overlooking Broadway, the view of Vancouver with the North Shore
mountains in the background are one of the best you'll ever see! Be
there for a late summer blood-red sunset as it reflects off the glass
walls of downtown Vancouver - gorgeous! And, if you are very, very
lucky, you will be treated to Jonathan, a server (usually the only one!)
in the hotel's restaurant. He is worth the wait for the surprisingly
very good food as he is extremely entertaining, especially if people
order more than the cook might be able to handle (listen how Jonathan
talks people out of ordering so much food! He had the whole place
laughing).
One hint - the menu offers far too many choices. The cook/chef should
cut it down to about 12 or 15 selections rather than the hundreds which
are now offered.
We'll definitely be going back

It is perhaps my favorite view of Vancouver (city-scape and mountains).
Also the rooms are very nice and the staff are professional. I've given
them repeated business when in the area.

Stayed here one night while hosting an evening event.
First the guest room: Street side offers nice views of harbor and
downtown. Even has a little step-out-balcony to aid in enjoying the
view/taking pictures of the downtown highrises across the bay.. BUT,
that side's rooms get a LOT of street noise from Broadway. If a light
sleeper, suggest as high-rise floor as possible or non-street-side room.
But, no real issues with the guest room.
Main floor meeting/conference room carpet needs re-stretched - BAD. Many
ripples in the carpeting. And when we arrived in early afternoon there
were 3 portable fans going in the conference room and were there
throughout our event. Really? Seriously? They weren't too noisy, but
that's needed for circulation? Hello. Sounds like the HVAC system in the
conference room needs replaced.
