This hotel is in a terrific location... close to the water, Stanley Park, Robson Street, Convention Center. Our room was clean and comfortable, and had a wonderful view of the harbor. The staff was friendly and very helpful in recommending restaurants (great suggestions). Good exercise facility and pool... a plus was the steam room and the sauna. A great Marriott hotel in a great city.

I stayed here for one night on business during the first week of November. When I made my reservation online I requested early check-in if possible, as well as a higher floor, and also selected the additional feather pillows that were suggested. When I arrived to check-in shortly after 12pm, my room was ready and all of my requests were accommodated. I had room 3110, on the top floor of the hotel (there are a few residential floors above). The room was great and had a nice enough view. Important to me is the room temperature, since I find hotels to be generally too warm and stuffy. This one was great, and I even had a window that could be opened. It was a very comfortable sleep, especially with all those extra pillows!

The conference facilities were good too, with great food. The service there was also excellent and the room comfortable. Everywhere was clean, and each time I passed an employee in the hotel the smiled and said hello, even the housekeeping service. It is apparent that their staff receive training on exemplary customer service. The service upon check-out was also excellent, with the staff member offering me a key to the fitness facility, should I want to shower and/or freshen up before driving home at the end of my day of meetings. The rate was on the high side, but it is in downtown Vancouver, and given my experience, it was worth the price paid. I would definitely consider staying here again when downtown!

Great hotel, great location, great service! Parking is fairly pricey... $26/day or $32/valet. The meters in front of the hotel are free between 10pm-9am and are $5-6/hr there after. The surrounding area is all business district and also will be metered parking but...

Just 2-3 blocks away on Jervis street, we found ample, free street parking every time.

My husband and I stayed at the hotel pre and post cruise. Location is ideal for the cruise ships as well as general sightseeing. It is a typical Marriott in decor - comfortable and familiar. The hotel restaurant is truly outstanding. We had dinner there several nights. The meals were different and delicious. Wonderful fish and that should not be taken for granted just because you're in Vancouver. Service was also fabulous. My only complaint is that the room key which had to swiped for floor access often did not work resulting in a few rides up and down the elevator.

If you want the location and the Marriott which I did -- this is a great choice!
