I have stayed at this hotel many times and each time and amazed at the level of
customer service and the quality of this hotel property. The staff go out of
their way to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms, food, amenities are all 1st
Class. I would stay in this hotel over the Pan Pacific which is more expensive
and in the same location.

Some floors are nice, but I was in one of the unrenovated floors with dated
decor that was not good value for money. Paid through the nose for a last-minute
room. Also very odd that the Gold floor is the ninth, when the hotel goes all
the way up to 23. Free high speed wireless internet in the gold floor lounge.
Could not get wifi in my room. Small swimming pool. Excellent breakfast in the
Gold lounge.

We attended a wedding at the Fairmont Waterfront and thought that the hotel was
beautiful. There is one restaurant which is open, not very cozy, but great
buffets with large and delicious selections. The hotel is located on the water,
but it was easy to walk all over Vancouver from this location with restaurants
and shops just 2-3 blocks away.

The Fairmount Waterfront was a perfect location. We were only there for one
night so we wanted to capture as much of the city as we could. This was a great
location without having to drive. You can get on the "train", walk or we even
borrowed a bike from the hotel and rode along the waterfront and around Stanley
Park. Restaurants and shopping are so close and it was a safe environment. The
hotel had spectacular views as we watched the cruise ship depart, a platoon
plane land and just people watch. Easy to find and the accommodations were
wonderful

From the bell hop to the reception desk to the restaurant servers and room
service people, there isn't a nicer bunch on the planet. The place was a bit
pricey but worth every penny. I came down with a cold the evening of my arrival
and by the next evening didn't have the energy to even leave the room. I called
room service and explained I was not feeling well and asked to have a meal from
the children's menu delivered to my room. They went out of their way to see I
had tea and any thing else I needed. I felt safe and cared for in an unfamiliar
city. The bed was very comfortable with lovely bedding. The restaurant was
expensive but the service was great. There is a small mall with a food court
accessible by elevator from the hotel where there is fast food and an American
style dinner. The service was uniformly good. There is also a tunnel connecting
the mall to the new convention center across the street. As a woman travel alone
I was comfortable walking in the area. The seawall is just past the convention
center and the view of the water and the mountains is wonderful. I would
definitely stay here again if I received a discounted room rate.

The service was perfect! We were welcomed as soon as we arrived and given
valuable information about the hotel and surrounding area. When we arrived in
our room, we were in awe by the views. We would like to find something to
suggest that they improve other than the cost, but in this case, this is an
excellent value and I would go there anYtime. They make you feel special. Other
hotels should study them and try to mimic the way they treat guests

Considering the 4 star rating, I expected a little more than what was provided.
Our room had 2 'over size' double beds, though to me they appeared to be double
beds - no internet without a surcharge in a hotel that is designed for business
and higher class travelers. Staff were friendly, but overall the highlight was
Tim Horton's in the underground food court.

Although we were going to book this hotel independently, we ended up booking as
part of a pre-cruise package, which turned out to be good value.
We had a harbour view room, (great views) very spacious and comfortable.
Hotel service was generally, but breakfast not as good as it shoudl be in this
class of hotel (but it is easy to go elsewhere, which we did 2 days out of 3).
Main attraction over other city centre hotels is location - on the waterfront,
very close to Gas Town (bars, restaurants, shops) and on the tourist bus routes
etc. And in (healthy) walking distance from Stanley Park.
If you are going to stay in a 4 start hotel in the city, I would recommend this
one.

This hotel is perfectly situated for the cruise terminal opposite and for long
scenic walks along the seawall to Stanley Park.
We stayed in a harbour view room which was nicely appointed and a good size but
the view wasn't really of the harbour, more Canada Place, the cruise terminal
and another hotel.
The room was recently decorated, a bit old fashioned perhaps, but it was in
keeping with the place.
Food is excellent and service good. They even have a couple of complimentary
bikes that you can use to ride around Stanley Park if you book them in advance.

Absolutely loved everything about this hotel---quiet, comfortable, beautiful
beds and pillows, great food and service. Enjoyed our harbour view. Would stay
here again in a heartbeat.

The Fairmont Waterfront exceeded our expectations from start to finish. I
emailed in advance asking for early check in due to our flight times. When we
arrived at 1 pm our room was ready. We were given a room on the 5th floor with
king bed and an amazing view of the harbour front although we did not pay for
this. We could see the cruise ships come and go from our window! The room was a
good size, modern furnishings, kept very clean and was very quiet and peaceful.
The hotel pool (outdoors) on the 3rd floor is fantastic - there is a view of the
harbour/mountains and also a small bar providing drink service. There is also an
indoor hot tub beside the pool. We used room service once and the food was
great. We did not use the restaurant in the hotel. There is a shopping center
connected to the hotel with a food court and a really nice diner called Ricky's
that we ate breakfast at. Much cheaper than the hotel restaurant for breakfast.
For those looking to sight see in Vancouver I highly recommend the Vancouver
smart card. It gets you into the major tourist attractions and is quite a $$
savings over paying for each attraction separately. We booked through Expedia
and they provided excellent service. The hotel is in an excellent location right
on the harbour within walking distance to many attractions including Stanley
Park. We used the local transportation and it was fast, efficient and easy to
use. Membership to the Fairmont President's club is definitely worth it - it is
free and gives you free local calls and free internet. Would definitely return
to Vancouver and to the Fairmont Waterfront.

Stayed for 3 nights before our trip thru the Rockies with the Rocky Mountaineer.
Great location and views of the Burrard Inlet and the mountains. Check in was a
pain since they did not have the room that we booked and when we showed the
front desk staff our email with the confirmation he upgraded us to a suite.
However, it only had a king and sofa bed instead of 2 queens as we had asked. We
took what we could get. Rooms are nice, spacious, nice bathrooms with high
quality toiletries. Free wireless if you are a President's Club Member (it's
free, just join online) and also a quicker check in and check out line. The pool
and workout facilities are nice. Did not eat at the restaurants since it is
right next door to Tim Horton's (this is Canada, eh?) and a little food court
with McDonalds and all the rest. Starbucks is across the street (and everywhere
else in this city!!!). Location is why you want to stay here. You can walk
underground to catch the Sea bus to North Vancouver (Grouse Mountain, Capilano
Suspension Bridge, Lyons Gate Bridge, etc). You can catch the city tour trolley
across the street and there is even a visitors center next door if you are not
sure what you want to do. Canada Place is across the street, that is where the
cruise ships dock. Also you are within walking distance to Gastown. We wanted to
save some cash and bought a full day transit pass for $9 and could use the
skytrain, sea bus and the local buses unlimited all day long. We caught bus
number 5 to Stanley Park which is about 5-10 min away. Then came back and caught
another bus to Granville Island which is about 15-20 min and has nice
entertainment and eateries as well as a cute fresh food market. The buses are
timely, safe and clean. The next day we covered North Vancouver by Sea bus and
bus number 236 which takes you to the suspension bridge and Grouse Mountain.
Nice restaurants on Robson Street but my favorite for families is the Old
Spaghetti Factory in Gastown which is a 10 min walk. Have fun in Vancouver but
bring your sunscreen, umbrella and a good jacket...you'll probably need them
all!

We stayed two nights in a waterfront deluxe room booked thru Victoria Clipper.
The view was nice but the window needed cleaning. Good sized room. The bed was
on the small side for a queen. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The
concierge helped us plan our day with maps and useful advice. The hotel is
located right next to a train station so you do not need to rent a car. We took
the sea bus to Capilano suspension bridge which was a fun experience. Close to
the waterfront although it's about a 30 minute walk to the wonderful Stanley
Park.

paid for the kids room as a birthday present and they could not thank us enough
.great hotel in great location just away from main streets but in easy walking
distance would recommend to anyone who wants a fantastic stay in Vancouver.
close to most things but if feeling idle taxi rank and bus stops right across
the road

My boyfriend and I chose to stay at The Fairmont Waterfront for our long weekend
in Vancouver. We were really happy with our choice! We ended up getting a harbor
view which was great. Another real perk of the trip was that we were there for
the Canada day fireworks. Since the hotel is right across the street from Canada
place, we got to relax on the pool deck and enjoy the firework show! Individual
experience aside; The Fairmont Waterfront offered excellent service. The front
desk, valet and parking services, and bell boys were just great. Whenever we
needed our car or a taxi it was there promptly. The front desk knew all of the
information on tourist attractions (such as how much parking was at the
aquarium) and the guys out front were always more then happy to give us
directions. Above all, The Fairmont Waterfront was the best place for us to stay
in Vancouver, close to everything and beautifully situated on the inlet. I
really recommend this place!

This was our family’s first stay hotel in Vancouver. We were joining a cruise
trip to Alaska and so we picked this hotel which was just by the side of Canada
Place. We just walked to the cruise terminal with our luggages after we checked
out. This hotel was well kept and managed. Hotel staff were warm and helpful. We
were more than happy to have chosen this hotel.
There was a fair-size food court in the basement of an adjoining building of the
hotel.
