I stayed at the Carmana
Plaza in August 2011 for
a family holiday in a 2
bedroom apartment. The
apartments are spacious
with 2 large bedrooms
(one en-suite) with a
large living room, a
good sized kitchen, a
separate second bathroom
and a large storage
area. The apartments are
well equipped and
spotlessly clean.
The location is very
central, and just a
short walk from the
Robson Street shopping
area and from a range of
good restaurants. Most
of Vancouver's central
district is within
walking distance.
Conveniently, there is a
good supermarket
opposite and there is a
coin-operated laundry
room in the hotel.
Overall, an excellent
choice for a well-priced
apartment hotel in
Central Vancouver.
Request an apartment on
a high floor to avoid
street noise ( the hotel
is in a skyscraper).

My company had a trade
show to attend and we
used about 9 rooms at
Carmana Plaza. All of my
attendee's were
thoroughly happy with
the rooms.
The staff was incredibly
considerate thorough out
all my reservation
changes up until the
week of the show. In
addition to being
supremely helpful in
assisting our company
with anything they
needed help with in
Vancouver.
Lastly, it is so much
nicer to have the option
of making a meal in the
room than having to find
a restaurant every
night.
And the windows open up
for fresh air!

Excellent, friendly
staff at reception and a
very helpful concierge.
We had a 2 bedroom suite
which was clean and very
spacious. Kitchen is
well equipped and there
are 2 bathrooms: a
godsend with 2 teenage
daughters. Location is
really good - everywhere
downtown and Stanley
Park within walking
distance. My only niggle
is that the main
bedroom's bed was a
little small at 5ft. All
in all A perfect choice
for Vancouver.

We were travelling with
my university aged
children and required
two separate bedrooms
and bathrooms so we
chose to stay at this
apartment style hotel.
The apartment was very
spacious with a full
kitchen, living room,
dining room and storage
room. A daily supply of
coffee, tea and bottled
water was provided. The
dining room had floor to
ceiling windows which
overlooked the downtown
area and the Vancouver
harbour (we were even
able to see the July 1
fireworks from the
comfort of our living
room!).

I just got back from my
trip to Vancouver where
I stayed at Carmana
Plaza. Thanks to fellow
TA writers, I was led in
the right direction to
this affordable (for
Vancouver) and spacious
hotel.
Carmana Plaza is a great
spot for people who want
to be centrally located
to a lot of fun things
near Downtown and are
not necessarily looking
for the "standard" hotel
experience. Carmana
actually was even nicer
than we had expected it
to be. First off, the
hotel staff were very
helpful during our
entire stay, and the
room was both clean and
well sized. I knew going
in that this was an
apartment style hotel,
and was pleased to see
that they had taken care
to provide little
details like plates,
silverware, etc. I also
appreciated that my
request to be on the
side facing the water
was taken into
consideration and
accommodated (that side
faces Alberni, which is
also more quiet).
