| Poppy is a very good course for juniors and seniors with
4,503 yards of course. It is a 18 hole, 63 par well maintained facility with
reasonable priced green fees. They have great service at the restaurant and the
pro shop to assist you with all your needs. Rentals are available on power
carts, clubs, and pull carts. Need to improve your game? Sign up for lessons

Poppy Estate was named for the Poppy family that homesteaded the property in
1905. They worked the acreage as a sheep farm until Dan Kitsul approached Bill
Poppy Sr. in 1987 about leasing the property for the purpose of building a golf
course. It was met with enthusiasm as the family wanted to ensure that the
property remained green space.
Dan, along with his sons, Dale and Glenn, broke ground in early July, 1988.
Lakes were dug, earth was moved and greens, tees and bunkers shaped. The course
was ready for seeding by the end of September. Opening day was May 6, 1989 with
many Poppy family members in attendance.
Restaurant Information
Open 6 am to dark with an excellent homestyle menu.
Breakfast served until 11:30 am and lunch specials daily.
Covered patio with spectacular view of the golf course and Mount Baker.
Licensed for beer, wine and coolers.
Tournament and Banquet Room
Room available for tournament meal and prizes or rented for group meetings,
luncheons, dinners, anniversary parties, etc.

Rent this facility by the day or half day for your private function, such as
corporate tournaments, company or church picnic, family reunion, etc. Your
reservation will include a 1000 plus square foot event tent, barbeque for your
use, horseshoe pitch, hole in one bucket and unlimited rounds on the putting
