The festival celebrates its sixth anniversary from March 12 – 15 2009 and you're
invited to the celebrations! Downtown Vancouver will come alive as the Edgewater
Casino CelticFest Vancouver presents an urban celebration of Celtic culture.
The Celtic Village Street Market
offers retail and display space for Celtic purveyors, artisans, and
craftspeople who create original work and objects for sale.
Free, live Celtic performances by renowned artists will be presented on the
Street Market Stage, throughout the weekend.
The Celtic Village Market and KidsZone will be set up outdoors on Granville
Street (street closed to traffic) in downtown Vancouver between Robson Street
and Nelson Street.
Market hours will be from 11am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday
from 10am to 6pm.
St. Patrick's Day Parade
The parade, which is part of Edgewater Casino CelticFest Vancouver, will be held
on Sunday, at 11 am.

The much-loved annual entertainment event will bring visitors and locals
together for an extraordinary five-day, four night celebration of Celtic
performance and culture. The popular annual festival is presented by CelticFest
Vancouver Society and features hundreds of gifted performing artists from around
the world and at home, with more than 50 events at dozens of popular venues –
including three outdoor stages in downtown Vancouver. Headliners this year come
from Scotland, Ireland and France as well as Eastern and Western Canada, and
include Scotland’s Battlefield Band, Tony McManus, Steafan Hannigan, Wendy
MacIsaac & Patrick Gillis, Spirit of the West, plus the international supergroup
Celtic Fiddle Festival.
