Hotel review of the Executive Plaza Coquitlam
5 January 2012
I was immigrating to Vancouver, Canada and making a big shift in life
with my family (Wife and Daughter). Stayed here on a friend's
recommendation for 4 nights. was busy during the day but the nights were
peaceful, and the bed was just awesome every time. Excellent
housekeeping and the food was great too and the Lougheed sky train
station was just across the road making downtown just 25 mins ride. we
had a room with a view and wow what a view it was every morning. a very
courteous staff. Would recommend it.

I spent an enjoyable couple of days at the IMSA convention in November
2011, as a result of an Upgrade to a penthouse suite at no charge. Kudos
to Executive Plaza Coquitlam, Nice choice!!!
Room Tip: The Penthouse is Fantastic, especially if your Spouse is along
for a visit.

I recently attended an event in the ballroom at the hotel and decided to
spend the night. The cost was extremely reasonable. Based on how
inexpensive it was, I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly
surprised. The beds were extremely comfortable, with wonderful duvets.
The room was basic, but clean and quiet.
I dealt with some of the hotel staff while helping to set up the
ballroom in advance of the buffet and they were very pleasant and
helpful. The food they served was excellent.
For parking, I didn't like having to check in, get a card and go back to
the car to put it on the dash. I think they could ask what stall you are
in, as they are numbered and then not ticket that car.
All in all though, except for the view from the room that they can't do
anything about, it was a very pleasant overnight stay.

Came and stayed for 3 nights regretfully. I live in the area and because
of business I stay in hotels in my local area. Coquitlam Inn to Best
Western Chelsea Inn to the Hilton at Metrotown are the hotels i usually
stay at when i need a room and i'd have to say that Executive Plaza is
by far the worst. Customer service was completely lacking - people at
the front desk don't seem like they are willing to help even when
there's no one in the lobby? Where are the greetings when i come in and
out of the hotel? also internet was terrible and completely unreliable.
Had to go across the street to McDonalds to get my work done. Also
connecting to their internet is such a pain. Also when i arrived and
left no one was there to even offer help with my luggage. Rooms were
also very small and room service even accidentally threw away my contact
lens case. Some people say it's good to try new things - trying this
hotel was something i honestly regret. Pictures were deceiving and i've
gotten WAY better customer service from 2 star motels.
