Pros: the hotel's interior is quite nice; room is clean with laminated floor
with big bed; clean furniture and handy kitchenette; we asked before we came to
have a room at the end of the hallway facing the carpark, which they have
arranged for us, so noise level from the street was not an issue for us; the
fruit basket was lovely; the front desk staff also helpful and friendly; free
parking
Cons: hotel is next to a liquor store, and located on a very busy Hastings St;
the walls between the rooms and the the door facing the hallway are very thin,
we were asleep by 10pm and were hoping for a good sleep as we'll be having a
long day ahead of us, the guest next door decided to have a long conversation at
about 11pm, which instantly woke us up, it was so loud that the door might as
well not be there; also the reverse cycle aircon (hot and cold) cannot seem to
stay at the temperature we set it at, so during the night it got so hot, I had
to turn it off and it became to cold for me in the morning that i got woken up
again, plus i got woken up all through the night from the really loud aircon
cycling in and out; the bathroom renovation could be better, it looks like they
haven't finished the reno, and the insulation is so thin that even if the
bedroom is hot, the bathroom is freezing cold, luckily they got a small portable
heater, so I turned that heater in the bathroom the whole night so it can heat
up the bathroom for the morning use; suffice to say I had one of the worst
sleeps ever

The hotel staff were very good and accommodating. The hotel also had a liquor
store and a pub attached. The pub has a good fun menu and live music Friday and
Saturday. The hotel decor is very nice and the room was clean and comfortable.
The complimentary breakfast was also very good. There are lots of nice
restaurants close by and it is on a bus route to allow easy trips to downtown
Vancouver.

I needed help understanding the transit system and the front desk ladies were
very helpful. From looking up bus routes to helping me purchase a day pass! I
can't say enough good things about them. The bed was also very comfortable.

A very nice hotel, overall.
Pros:
1. Laminated floor-perfect for allergic!!! I do not understand why so many
hotels have st...d carpets, since many people in Canada are quite allergic to
carpet mites
2. Microwave, good fridge.
3. Very nice air conditioner
4. Very good price
5. Very clean room
6. Very good location (may be 15 min to downtown Vancouver)
7. Parking free
8. Breakfast is included and is not plastic food
9. When you arrive a basket of fruits is immediately provided
Cons:
Room is a bit small, but I was not there for a long time.
I WILL STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL FOR ASTHMATICS and people who like simple
but not plastic food, |
