I stayed at this Hilton while in Vancouver attending a conference. I
chose to stay outside of Vancouver proper since the rate per night was
much more affordable ($125/night). The hotel was easy to find, which
prompt and efficient check-in. Parking was $9/night and was okay though
a little tight in places (the hotel shares parking with the mall below
and the residential building beside the hotel). My room was spaceous and
comfortable, and there was free wired internet. You could get wireless
internet in the restaurant/lounge, the conference areas, and in the
front desk area. The hotel also offered a business center with free
internet access as well. Room service was good, with a nice selection of
food options and fairly good portion sizes. They do automatically charge
a gratuity and delivery fee though. The fitness center was 24h/day. The
outdoor pool area was nice, though a bit odd with a long pool ~1 lane
across for laps, a small square pool that was the "unique children's
pool", and a small hot tub which could get pretty full when the pool
area is busy. There are many shops and restaurants to explore nearby.
The commute to downtown Vancouver is ~30-40 minutes, though you could
also take the skytrain which stops just down the street from the hotel.
Overall, it was a good stay and definitely lived up to the Hilton name.
I would recommend this hotel for people who are planning to come to the
Vancouver area but don't want to pay high prices or be right downtown.

I stayed here a couple weeks ago while on a business trip. I've stayed
in many hotels in the Burnaby, Vancouver and Victoria area and in
comparison this hotel is in my top 3 for sure (over-all rating based on
comfort, value, customer service etc). I was given the opportunity to
fill out a survey sent to me via email after my most recent stay. I
rated the hotel as excellent with the exception of one minor thing which
is not even worth mentioning as I'm sure it was an anomaly. Still yet, a
manager contacted me and acknowledged my concerns. That to me, was very
impressive and shows that hotel management care about every detail of a
customers stay at their hotel.

The Hotel is in a central location in Burnaby. There are a lot of food
and activity options nearby- attached food court/mall. They are also
fairly close to the metro station so it is convenient to get around
Vancouver.
The Hotel staff is very nice and attentive. The food at the
bar/restaurant is good and waiters/bartenders are very friendly.
I would look at staying away from rooms xx12. xx14, etc. These are near
the elevators and can be a bit noisy. Ask for rooms near the end of the
hallways. Parking is never an issue in the building

Very nice hotel. I would stay there again. Nice to be close to
restaurants and the giant mall.
The meeting rooms are very nice and comfortable.

This is a really clean and modern hotel with excellent staff. I had a
prior stay which had some hiccups due to noise issues, but this time I
brought earplugs just in case. I didn't need to use them. The only
hiccup this time was my internet didn't work when I arrived. They sent
up a maintenance staff within 10 minutes who replaced a broken ethernet
cable.
All that said, I don't know why it's ~$200 on average to stay at this
hotel. It's a good 20-30 minutes from downtown Vancouver and you can
find places downtown for the same price that are just as nice, many
which are ranked even higher on Tripadvisor. I had to write a licensing
exam at a test centre nearby, but if I was a visitor to Vancouver I
would probably book one of the many hotels that are downtown at the same
price, some even cheaper (e.g. Sheraton Wall Centre is currently
$169/night, right smack downtown).
In summary, if you have business in the Burnaby/Metrotown area then this
is a good hotel. If you are coming to sightsee in Vancouver then I see
no reason to pay the same price to stay at this hotel out in the
suburbs.Review of the Hilton Hotel Metrotown Burnaby

I truly loved my stay at this friendly & clean Hilton hotel because of
its central location in Burnaby, (but still 15 min from downtown
Vancouver by sky train), surrounded by a big mall and many restaurants.
The first impression of the lobby was excellent and rooms, including
mattress and bathroom, were what you expect of a premium business hotel.
I enjoyed the morning sunrise from the heated outdoor pool. Breakfast
has plenty of healthy food choices. Staff was really friendly and
helpful when asked for directions to local restaurants, etc.
Only negative was the lack of apparent Wifi in this hotel. In today’s
connected world, that's hard to understand. Would come back to this
hotel in case I need to be in Burnaby, BC again for business.

We stayed at the Hilton Burnaby while attending a wedding. We got a
suite which was roomy and comfortable. The Wedding was at the fight
fighters hall which was very close. Front desk staff was very friendly
and helpful, rooms were nice and clean, nice warm outdoor pool. All in
all we were pleased with our stay.

I travel quite a bit in Canada on business. Between company budgets and
personal preference, I usually do quite a bit of research before
choosing a location to stay in. Thank you to all the other Trip Advisor
members for your help! With this Hilton, it was an absolute joy to be in
such a clean, well-maintained hotel after my previous week in the
competitor across the street. Rooms were bright, fresh, and clean!
Everyone from the front desk to the valet gentlemen to the In-Room
dining crew were pleasant, helpful, and customer-minded. When I did have
an issue with some noise problems, they were all empathetic of my
experience and were willing to do anything for me. When choosing to
utilize the In-Room dining feature, request Jose to be you server. He
pays attention to the details when delivering your meal and is very
genuine! Great stay! Whenever I am in Vancouver again, I will definitely
stay at the Hilton in Metrotown! The theater across the street is a
great place to see a show as well!! :)

I had to stay here twice in January 2012. Rooms were nice and clean and
quiet. They have hard wired internet and a desk to set your laptop on.
The bathrooms are larger than some I've been in. The staff are very
friendly. Parking is covered and whenever I've taken my F-250 extended
cab long box 4X4 down there, they've given me a parking spot that is
easy to get in and out of. Lots of eating places within easy walking
distance. Close to Skytrain as well.

It's my fault. I went on the Hilton website and typed in "Vancouver" as
the city. The name of the hotel is listed as "Hilton Vancouver
Metrotown". It does say, "Burnaby" after the name of the hotel, but I
assumed that this was a neighborhood.
This hotel is 20-30 minutes away from downtown Vancouver. For some
reason, Hilton doesn't have a property in Vancouver...
Anyway, I wanted to give two stars, but the truth of the matter is that
this was a nice little hotel. Nothing exceptional. The rooms were
average without a mini bar in the room. The maid service was actually
pretty good. Most hotels clean around your things and this one actually
put things away.
The restaurant on the property is good, albeit pricey.
I wouldn't stay here again because of the location, but it's a nice
little hotel in a suburb of Vancouver. |
