Guest Review of the Best Western Plus Kings Inn Burnaby

First stay in Burnaby for business meeting and reviews had not been good for
this hotel. I use Best Westerns occasionally and generally found them good.
However, my stay was great from the friendly greeting on late night entry to an
excellent room with all the basic amenities. Breakfast was standard help
yourself continental and the internet worked fine. Good value and clean.

Visited the above hotel a while back. It is located on a busy street but very
well insulated against the street noise. The rooms are excellent with a bed that
you don't want to get up. nice and soft. The rooms are nicely decorated . There
are lots of good restaurants close by. Will stay there again in the future.

My daughter & I stayed just for a night straight from the airport for
relocation. When we got there, we were vey tired. The front desk clerk carried
my suitcase all the way up very fast.
All other staff were very friendly as well. The breakfast was nice, too. The
coin operated laundry was fairly reasonable.
The location is good. We walked to the skytrain station and safeway. They have
free parking and free wifi.
The room was ordinary and the heater was old. But in overall, we were
comfortable.

Excellent value for money! Great base and lots of places to eat nearby, ihop,
white spot etc. The huge shopping centre Metro town is only about 10 mins walk
away and you can catch the skytrain from there into downtown Vancouver.

Had a terrible experience here. I had very noisy neighbors who woke me up in the
middle of the night. So I called the front desk to send someone to tell them to
keep it down. I heard the security guard come up to the people next door and
tell them that their neighbors had made a complaint. Security proceeds to tell
them that it was their neighbor in room 608 who made a complaint. Of course, our
neighbors then start knocking on our door because they know who made the
complaint and they were mad. The next day there was blood and broken beer
bottles outside our neighbors door. I heard other people partying throughout the
night. . I do not feel that this is an appropriate place for children to stay
due to security allowing guests to party. I am very angry that security
disclosed who made the noise complaint. Apparently it's not safe to do so. Front
desk did not offer me anything when I told them what happened. The room was
nice, but I am VERY concerned about the training that security receive. |
