Review of the Accent Inn Burnaby

Thank you to Accent Inns for an excellent stay - we had a wonderful
time. The staff were so incredibly professional and the location (5
minute walk from the skytrain) was great. We'll certainly be back the
next time we need a place to stay in Vancouver.Review of the Accent Inn Burnaby

Reasonable price, very good lighting, great location, pleasant staff,
clean room, mini fridge, excellent tasting brand of coffee with coffee
maker, & I really like it when the hotel room is set up so the toilet &
shower are separate from the sink & mirror. That way both my husband & I
could get ready at the same time.
A pleasant surprise & a nice touch was a cute complimentary rubber ducky
that appeared to hold colorful balloons to celebrate the hotels 25th
anniversary.
The room was quiet even though we were at the top on the stairs & people
were coming & going.

I've been staying at the Burnaby location for many years now on a
regular basis. I recommend this hotel to everyone I know who is
travelling. The staff are so friendly and are always glad to see me.
The rooms always very, very clean and well appointed. I like the fact
that it is in a quiet location and close to the skytrain to get downtown
quickly. This is by far the best value for your money as well. Keep up
the good work!

Staff were pleasant but not the stay. I'm not a fan of the "pet
friendly" policy. Bunch of guys next door had two huge dogs and were
noisy. I could here a dog barking somewhere in the building for long
periods of time. Rooms are adequate, but poor seals on the doors means
you hear everything outside. I had to call maintenance to fix the AC,
this after being moved once for the noise. Fitness room is a closet with
three machines jammed into it. Could not walk on the treadmill without
hitting your head on heating duct above; unusable. I won't be back.

We chose Accent Inn, Burnaby because of other reviews we read . Since we were renting a car it was great that there was no
charge for parking and also we liked the free Wi-Fi. We spent 3 days
exploring the city of Vancouver and used the Sky Train to get into the
city. The station was only a short 10 min. walk and the trains came
every 5 min. Since we were all seniors we could get into the city for
$1.75 (Canadian). The Accent Inn provided free van transportation to the
station and also offered the van if needed for my ride to church in
Burnaby on Sunday. I used their on site laundry facilities and although
the Inn doesn't have their own restaurant we went to the ABC Country
Restaurant for breakfast which is only a few steps from our room.
The only negative was that there were 2 extra charges made on my credit
card that were supposedly from Accent Inn. The front desk supervisor,
Barbara, was very helpful and the problem was cleared up. We would still
stay there again in spite of that problem because you always have to
watch your credit card charges when travelling. |
