Science
World
is a
hands-on science centre in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. We are a
favourite family destination offering entertaining and educational
experiences. In addition to the hundreds of interactive exhibits
featured in our galleries, we are also home to the Alcan OMNIMAX Theatre
and the Science Theatre. The Alcan OMNIMAX Theatre features magnificent
science and nature films on one of the world's largest dome screens. The
high definition Science Theatre shows spectacularly scenic presentations
as well as live performing arts shows.

This itinerary is great in rain or shine. It allows the kids to explore some
great learning opportunities while having fun and you’ll learn something as
well. Great for the whole family.
10:00 a.m.
If you’re staying downtown, take the SkyTrain to the Main Street/Science World
stop.
Descend the stairs and walk towards the large silver ball overlooking the water.
10:30 a.m. Arrival at Science World

There are hundreds of activities at Science World. From hands-on experiments to
staff demonstrations it’s fun, exciting and filled with laughter.
1:30 p.m.
Enjoy a bite to eat at onsite Triple O’s by White Spot.
The same great food as any other White Spot restaurant. The only difference is
the counter-service and self-seating. Enjoy!
2:30 p.m.
Catch a film at the OMNIMAX theatre. The screen is a massive 27 meters in
diameter, and is one of the largest dome screens in the world.
3:30 p.m.
Return to the Main Street/Science World SkyTrain stop. Catch a train heading
towards Waterfront Station.
4:00 p.m.
Gastown Vancouver
Water Street.
Exit at Waterfront Station. Follow the signs to Water Street/Gastown. Exit on to
Water Street. Turn left. Walk two blocks to Gastown and visit the many shops and
catch the steam clock as it blows.
5:30 p.m.
