Hotel Review of the Ramada Plaza Abbotsford

Bedding was awful, worn look to room, and way too expensive compared to other
locations nearby. Best Western at Clearbrook much better, newer, with free
breakfast and 25% cheaper every time I go up to Abbotsford.

We stayed here after Christmas party at the adjacent conference centre. The
staff were exceptional the room was outstanding. I recommend it to any business
person traveling in the Fraser Valley, you can't get a better place for the
price. White Spot restaurant attached to the hotel and offers great breakfast
lunch and dinners

This is an appealing place right beside the freeway. It seems obvious that
freeway noise would be an issue, and if your room is on the freeway side the
noise is noticeable but it was not an issue for us.
We paid for an above standard room, a junior suite I think they called it. It
was on the top floor (4th) looking south - freeway side. It was a huge room with
separate bedroom area and two flat panel TVs. We did not get the jacuzzi suite
which I think is another step up in cost. The freeway traffic noise is there but
it was not as bad as I thought it would be and did not bother us. The place is
easy to find and there was no issue with check in or out. It seems the place has
lots of conference facilities but we did not use any. We did eat in the
connected White Spot restaurant which we enjoyed.
The only thing that could have been better was the bed. We did not find it
comfortable and therefore did not have the best sleep.

This is a very nice property and, as always, it depends how much you paid if you
are trying to evaluate value for money. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again if the
price was right. My only problem with the room was that the air conditioner
would not stay on so it got very stuffy, despite the fact it was only in the low
20's during the day outside. The tub drained very poorly and the light behind
the bathroom vanity flickered on and off. Also, no fan in the bathroom. As
others have pointed out, this property simply needs some maintenance. It's nice,
clean, and conveniently located. I had a room that wasn't on the freeway side so
it was quiet as well.

Ramada Plaza and Conference Centre Abbotsford is a fair way out of town but easy
to access with a car, parking is rather limited though. The staff were pleasant
enough, meals were fine, accommodation fine. Generally a fairly average hotel
and about what I'd expect.
